The Perfect Vehicle
When I was looking for a vehicle to replace my 2015 Honda CR-V, I did a LOT of shopping around. I was utterly shocked that Honda no longer offered a blind spot camera (which came standard on my 2015 model), so I used that feature as a searching point. I found that there were very few vehicles that actually offer it, even though, as vehicles become more highly stylized, the body shapes greatly increase blind spots. The Hyundai Tucson leapt out at me from the list due to the fact that it was tens of thousands of dollars under the selling price of the other vehicles. Yes, please! Then I went and test drove... or I should say that my husband test drove because at 6'4, he needs far more leg room that I do. Every Kia, Ford, and Chevy were eliminated immediately as having not enough leg room. Honda and Toyota were okay (but again no blind spot cameras). Then we visited Hyundai and my husband started by pushing the seat as far back as it would go. He sat in the seat and let out a shocked sound because HE NEEDED TO MOVE THE SEAT UP. That has NEVER happened in a vehicle that is purchased specifically for me. This vehicle fit him like a glove, which made me sceptical about whether I would enjoy it... but it was just as beautiful a fit for me as it was for him. The 360 cameras, the blind spot cameras, and the rear and forward parking cameras are so incredibly clear. The seat cooling and heating features are amazing (I live in Texas and there's no way I can go back to a non-cooled seat after this) and using the app to remotely start or lock my car is just amazing. I was so impressed with this vehicle when we bought our first one (a 2023) that, when I wrecked it a year later (the safety features worked so well that I walked away without a scratch), I went straight back to Hyundai and ordered a 2024. I cannot say enough about how amazing this vehicle is. I recommend it to every person I know who is looking for a new car!
