2006 Ford Escape 4WD

Great little utility vehicle. Two piece tailgate can haul longer pieces.

2006, used but still kicking!

Currently have been experiencing a serious of mechanical issues,but most like timing and upkeep is the reason. The suv runs great, my model is very comfortable on inside, and is great on mileage.

Ford Escape

We have had this Escape for three years now. We bought it used and really haven't had many problems with it. We have a hitch on it and have only towed a wood chipper to date. Handles fairly well for an SUV. Gas mileage is what you expect from a truck. I am on the shorter side (5'3") and my husband is tall (6'3") and only issues I have seen that are on long trips we have to adjust the seat a little more to make it comfortable for each of us. Car seats work well because it is a bench seat. My husband drove to work for 2 years, now I drive it on a daily basis for grocery runs and various activities and on my husband's days off. When we bought the truck we had to replace the transmission, brakes (you can replace the front fairly easy, but the back brakes have to be professionally done if you don't have the right tools), flushed all fluids and other general maintenance that you would do for any vehicle.

2016 Ford Escape - 168,000 miles

2016 Ford Escape - 168,000 miles I have been driving my Ford Escape since 2018. I love this car, but the annual repairs are now reaching the size of a car payment and it is time to retire it. But, I will really miss this car. I don't like what they have been doing to the bodies of the modern SUV's.

06 ford xlt 4 cin escape

not a bad suv but for a 4 cin it should get better gas mil not 19 in town and 25 out of town the best i got out of town was 27 and it is a 4 cin o will it is a 06 but it is fun to drive but had a lot of work to be done on it it had 160 000 on it and i had to get a lot done on it i hope it is good now

Gets the Job Done

This vehicle doesn't have any bells or whistles and is very basic. The vehicle is so reliable though. I have had my escape start and run more reliably in the cold North Dakota temperatures than my partner's nicer, newer truck. I would trust this vehicle to get me anywhere. If all you need is to get from point A to point B as I do, I would highly recommend one of these.

Miracle

17 yr old car, never lets me down. Yearly long distance road trips. Lots of interior space I keep maintained, never a breakdown. I wish they hadn't changes body design in 2011 or I'd buy a new one. I don't recommend sun roof.

All in all it's not a bad vehicle.

The biggest thing I don't like about this vehicle is the interior road noise.

Most Loved Vehicle

I loved my 2006 Ford Escape from the minute I got in to test drive it. I felt safe , thought I took good care of it with regular maintenance from the same place I bought it from. If they would have cared about my vehicle as I did, I would have gotten advance notice about a rusted wheel well you couldn't see from the outside. Why no heads up. Why no discussion on a trade-in for a new Escape till it was too unsafe to drive? Been driving my new vehicle for a month now (not a Ford). Still miss my Escape and think I would have liked to have tried a new one - but no one cared.
