Ford Escape

It's a great SUV, I love it! The only thing I don't like about it is the traction control, I live on a hill and my driveway is a little steep. when it snows I have to make a couple of runs before I get up the drivewaymi.

2014 Ford Escape SE

I like the height of the vehicle more than most others. It is perfect height to not hurt my back. Easy in and easy out. Unfortunately their battery casings tend to crack. I was told by the general manager this is from the heat here in Florida.I recommend not replacing the battery at a Ford dealer. No other battery cracks with the heat.. This it is a defect within the Ford manufacturer..but they will not admit this so they can just get repeat business. I checked with several other manufavturers and from personal experience owning different cars here in Florida. sad what some people will do just to make money. The vehicle itself is nice. Just recommend using a reputable mechanic instead of using a dealership. Harolds auto is an honest establishment. I recommend using them.

Great car for every age bracket

I have owned 2 Ford Escapes and would own another. The size and versatility is perfect for use in any everyday need. Not too small, decent gas mileage, cargo area allows everything from groceries to moving if necessary. Everyone from my kids to my parents rate it as a great choice.

Fun and Efficient Ride

I enjoy the pep and handling of my Escape. The 2.0L Ecoboost engine provides me with great fuel efficiency and is a blast to drive. The car is very easy to clean. The 19 inch tires provides great stability and control during braking.

2014 Ford Escape

The 2014 Ford Escape is well designed, fun and safe to drive. My air conditioning system has been weak, I think there is some issues with an air duct “door”, because sometimes the flow of air will increase with a loss of whistling noise that seems to indicate that something is wrong, but I do not know if it was Ford or a previous owner incident. The dealership where I bought the car seemed hesitant to investigate. I will not be returning to that dealership when we buy or lease our next vehicle.

My Favorite

In 70 years i have owned a variety of vehicles from Pinto to Mercedes. The Escape has been my favorite by far for its practically perfect size, great reliability, and myriad excellent driving features. If I ever have to buy another car it will probably be just like it.

Great car

I have driven many cars in my life and this is the most recent. I hope it lasts forever because it is a great car for the money. I like a car that starts easily, runs smoothly, accelerates with enthusiasm and stops on a dime. I like leather power seats and a good sound system. It has my first Bluetooth and back up camera - two good features. I don’t have a moonroof which I regret only slightly. It doesn’t get the mileage my Miata and Passat did or my old Camry and Corolla did. It’s more fuel hungry like my BMW 300 series and my Pontiac station wagons - not bad but could be better. The tank is a little small too so you have to stop for fuel more often. But these are not big things. I love it - great white exterior color, nice trim, luggage rack, tinted windows, awesome ac system front and back, power tailgate is so great! Yes I love the Ford Escape and recommend it to everyone. Just the right size and it never breaks down!! Great car.

Escape Review

I like the gas mileage for an SUV and enough space for what I need. Car doesn't drive well in the snow and I've had issue with the blue tooth and other options.

Stay away from ecoboost engines if you’re interested in longevity

I was impressed by the power this vehicle had for only 4 cylinders. But it gets lame fuel mileage and the fuel tank is tiny! It’s starting to shift hard and we’ve already had to dump over 4 grand in various repairs. It doesn’t even have 100k on it yet. I’m getting rid of it soon. I won’t buy another ecoboost Ford.

Just got it

Just got the vehicle and am hoping it’s not gonna be a nickel/dime vehicle. Lots of little issues like smog problems, and unusual tire wear problems. Ride is not very quiet and Smooth. It’s not a Cadillac or BMW but am hoping for a few years of a good dependable vehicle.

2014 escape

The best thing I like about my escape is the mirrors. You can see who is in your blind spot before changing lanes. I am not impressed with the gas mileage.I bought it to have more packing room for camping. Not to bad I suppose for that purpose.

So much to like, and...

There is so much to like. The Escape is nimble and actually fun to drive. It is very responsive and does well in snow (with automatic 4 wheel drive. Wish it got better gas mileage; don't expect more than mid-high 20s even on highway trips. I would really love my Escape if it wasn't for the noise. Wind and road noise are more of an issue than they should be; and there are way too many buzzes and rattles from the interior plastics. Too bad....otherwise, a very nice vehicle.
