Good, but not perfect.

Overall I'm very happy with my Escape. It has one design flaw which is probably a result of increasing crash safety. it is impossible to see the ground close to the vehicle to the front and side. This results in difficulty parking parallel. It annoys me when I get out and see that I missed the center of the parking space, sometimes badly. Seeing to the rear is fine, of course, due to the video camera.

My Escape

My second Escape. My only complaints are the hatchback, a couple of blind spots, and where the battery is located. We could not check the battery out ourselves. We had to wait for our Travelers Roadside folks to jump me.

2015 Escape

This has been a dependable and comfortable small SUV. The mileage could and should be better. The mechanical problems with this vehicle have been minimal and occured during the warranty period. Happy with the vehicle overall.

Four Cylinders, Two Liters, Lots of Pep!

This 2015 Ford Escape has an over sensitive gas pedal and it takes off like a shot when it is lightly pressed. The ride is a bit rough butbthe driver's seat provides good lumbar support. The steering is tight and the overall feel is sporty. This size vehicle fits in my 1938 built garage and gets an average of 25 mpg.

Been a very reliable vehicle

My only complaints are the side view mirror assemblies are so massive I feel like I can’t see to the front and side for curbs or items below and forward to the front, also the heat vents for the floor aren’t aimed low enough and my feet never get warm. Also, the gas tank relying on the vacuum seal apparatus make me very insecure, especially since there have been times when it takes a while to start after refueling. And there is not way to lock the cap.

Nothing special

I am not a big fan of the 1.6. At first glance the interior looks great. But after a month you can really see where Ford Tried to save money. The sunroof shade flaps around if you open a side window. Sync doesn't work at all. And the car is severely under powered. I only use regular gas. I refuse to use the recommended 93 octane because this is supposed to save me money on gas not waste it. And the tank is too small. I shouldn't have a driving range of under 300 miles. BUT. The intelligent 4WD is truly BEST IN CLASS. If you live in the North East and deal with A LOT of snow. Best small crossover for snow. But get the bigger engine.

Found on the road dead. In a it shell it goes in the shop every two months due to something I’d rather have a 1966 car that’s beat up and still driving then to drive this car and the warranty covers absolutely NOTHING

Problem

Nothing positive about the car or ford . Over heats twice in 6 months , first time took to ford deal for repairs , guess they poor job , cost me 1400.00 dollars . Five months same issue . Ford stands for found on road dead

Transmission Issues

Owned the car for 2yrs. Never had an engine light or any warning. Transmission went exactly 1 month after warranty expired. Ford did not care or offer any assistance but wanted me to pay $5500+tx for repair??

Design and Performance Summary of the Ford Escape

I have always found that Ford always designs their cars with the customer in mind. The options and features of the Escape are well thought out and perform as the driver would expect. The handling and performance are excellent and the Sync system is superior to anything like it on the market. My voice commands seem to be easily understood by the system and the menus are logically laid out. I have only one complaint to the moon roof design on the Escape, when you raise the rear of the moon roof for circulation, it will only rise about 4 cm (a littler over an inch) and the small crack it creates is useless for any circulation. I can not understand why it will not rise a few inches like other car brands offer.
