2021 Sonata hybrid heater problem

I bought a 2021 Sonata hybrid new and loved the car until a problem occurred with the heater. No heat in January. Part went on back order and I'm still waiting. Very disappointed with Hyundai. I see new Tucson's and Sonata's coming into the dealer so part availability is not the problem. They provided a rental car which has cost Hyundai over $5000.00 to date. When does customer service and economic sense kick in with Hyundai.

Was a nice enough car...while it ran

Had the heater fail in winter with less than 25k miles. Problem ended up being the EGR cooler. Dealer has had the car for 3 months with no ETA on the replacement part. I question this car's reliability on making any long distance traveling.

What A Car!

I recently brought my Sonata Hybrid to my favored body shop to replace a cracked headlight. The office manager, who, by the nature of the business she is in, gets to sample many cars of any price and quality, drove my vehicle to pick up the replacement parts. When I came in to pick up the repaired car, she said, “You know, when you brought the car by, I looked at it and said to myself, gee, another mediocre sedan. But then I drove it, and I gotta tell you, that’s a heck of a car! Great response, very safe and secure feeling when you drive it!” Need I say more?

Good enough

Really efficient and comfortable to drive, but it is let down by annoying driver’s assist and a poor navigation system. Also it has developed some minor issues after a year and 30000 miles of driving.

Love the car overall ,Hate the shifter control and no "normal" drive mode

My 21 Sonata Hybrid Limited overall is a great car. It looks good inside and out, is reasonably quiet on the road and comfort is quite good as I'm 5'2" and 225. since this is my second Hybrid I've learned how to get over 50mpg city in spring and fall (no A/C) and still keep up or even lead traffic. A few demerits go to it for push button shifter, no "normal" drive transmission program, and big demerits for de-contenting limited package compared to my 2016 Sonata Hybrid limited. It had fog lights and heated rear seats.

Wife very ill got car to accomodate her easy for her to get in difficult for me she did not like size of car on road long distance mileage great but she felt uncomfortable riding she couldn’t drive at this time

Bad reliability

I bought the sonata hybrid for the dealer services, extended warranties, and for the reliability/piece of mind. My concern was what would happen after 50,000+ miles, and I found out all the dealer services are terrible, warranties do not cover real problems, and that no one really cares. The dealership happily tells us they have no idea when it will be done, over a leaking coolant hose, now it’s the exhaust heat exchanger replacement. Bad business all around, 41 days and counting.

Great vehicle

Vehicle is awesome dealership is terrible no interest in the customer I will not buy another Hyundai because of the dealership. This I a shame as the vehicle is so good but the dealership is absolutely pathetic.

I love my car

I love my car!!! It gives great mileage. I drive a lot and it saves me $ on gas. You feel you are in a luxury car. Standard features are way more than competitors. Superb warranty!!! Best value for your money. You'll love it too!!!

Excellent in Every Way

We love everything about this vehicle: safe, smart, and comfortable. We get 55-60 mpg consistently. We love the sound quality. We love the leather seats. We appreciate the ample storage space in the trunk.

great mpg - nice drive and clean appearance

I find vehicle easy to drive and get great mpg - car has good acceleration. Interior is nice and controls are easy to use. I bought off the dealers lot only vehicle they had new and not thrilled with the driver seat it is a bit uncomfortable (low option) - battery had issue but was handled by dealer - overall very good ride and options.

Sonata SEL Hybrid super car for the price, excellent mileage, even at high speeds, spacious interior, some compared comfortability quietness to Mercedes Benz sedan models !!

All said in title! ,....who gets 55-65 mpg? Awe at such a spacious comfortable rear seat! Entering the freeway with great speed and not losing mpg for it! Drive modes are fun! The padels on the steering column are fun...but not ss much as a manual shift. First automatic since I was a kid....Great car, design all around. HIGHLY recommend it for commuting,l ong trips or just around town! Thank you Hyundai!

That's a Hyundai??

I get that question all the time! Hyundai has really stepped up their game. I was skeptical on purchasing a hybrid but this car can really haul some tail! I have no issues climbing hills in this car. A very comfortable and fun vehicle to drive!

Love My Sonata Hybrid 2021

This is my fourth Sonata, second Hybrid, and I could not be happier. Meets all my expectations, as far as comfort, sound, looks, speed, and fuel efficiency. I have had this for a year and I am averaging 52 miles per gallon!!! Makes a huge difference with the gas prices as bad as they are this year. Very thankful for my Sonata Hybrid!!

2021 Hyundai Sonata limited hybrid Is an excellent car. Very comfortable car great fuel economy. Interior exterior high-quality. I would definitely consider buying or leasing another Hyundai product highbred I’m very interested in fuel mileage in this delivers. The The complaint that I have with this car are two things. Number one push button shift in my estimation dangerous and I do not like. Please return to the arm for the shifter. Number two passenger seat most people that that ride and car complain that the seat is too low, there is no way that I can make the seat higher. I believe Hyundai should correct this situation and put the same type of controls in the passenger seat as they air on the driver seat

Wife was stranded when car would not start.

Check engine lite came on and showed the car was overheating. The car had less than 2000 miles on it. The next day car was back to normal. Two weeks ago the car quit and would not start. Sold it !!!!!!

Great car for the money

Leased this car in August of 2021 and haven't regretted it. Mileage is awesome, car performs better overall than expected, and initial quality has been great. Minor issues only that are more annoyances than anything. Lease deal was great, basic maintenance was included for the term of the lease, and I plan on buying the car at lease-end to to higher than anticipated residual value. I would recommend this car as a safe, fuel efficient and more-peppy-than-expected daily commuter car.
