If it wasn't for the oil consumption, I would give it a 5 star. It uses a lot of oil. My husband is constantly checking it and sure enough, he has to put more oil!
I am happy the way it drives, I feel secure. It is a little noisy so the radio has to be loud in order to be able to hear it.

Outstanding small SUV
fun to drive. have the FWD and not a problem on a steep snow covered hill. Great forward vision because of the seating position but could use improved rear vision. Enjoy the 6 cylinder power and towing capacity, too bad Toyota doesn't have this option. Will probably look to Honda Ridgeline for a replacement.

Solid car that is a real work horse. Not a real looker by any means. Car has over 200K on it with minor issues.
Interior is vanilla but functional. Seats are comfortable and there is a lot of space with back seats down.

Best vehicle yet in my lifetime
The only qualm I have with it is I wish the back window would go down and the back door would open downward like a truck instead of sideways. It would make for better hauling my kayak instead of lifting it on the roof of the vehicle. Never had any problems with it.

I love my rav
My RAV4 is a great car. Don’t have many issues with it, runs well, gets good gas mileage. Easy to drive, good speakers, good build, easy to fix because Toyota parts are cheap, lots of room in the back

Well, it is a Toyota, with tons of reliability...but the car is small....has terrible sightlines especially for changing lanes....front seat doesn't retract far enough...Ipod/phone connect is in center console under two covers and hard to access....

Parts suck to replace and Toyota wont help either
I would not buy another rav4 if you bought it for me I've had nothing but issues with mine to many new parts to list so mines been very expensive to keep on the road had to replace everything from the differential to wheel bearings to driveshaft control arms bushings to many to keep going and it's always something wrong

My Rav4 is awesome. The new design, which I believe happened prior to my 2008, was a big improvement. The car is much more comfortable and roomier than the older models. The price was also great. The car is so reliable. I've been through two snow storms in it and had absolutely no problems.
