Almost 5 yrs ago I was leasing a Ford Escape for the 2d time. It was about time to turn it in. I talked to friends, did a little research & decided to look for a 2015 Toyota Rav 4. I purchased it from Hertz. Good decision.

Love it, very reliable , roomy, plenty of storage. Love that the seats fold down so easily, thoroughly enjoy the opened moon roof in Spring, summer & early Fall. Like the height to get thru rain storms , yet low enough for my disabled spouse to get in & out.

Extremely satisfied

I purchased my RAV4 new in 2015. To date I have 96,000+ miles on it and it is still running fine. I make sure to change the oil regularly and perform preventative maintenance as needs arise. I fully plan on putting 200K miles on it, if not more, This vehicle is very comfortable for long drives, I have run this vehicle multiple times to PA, VT, CT and SC. I have medical issues which make getting in and out of a low car difficult and my RAV is at the perfect height to prevent further injury and stress. I would highly recommend, and have done so, the Toyota RAV4 for someone looking to obtain a comfortable and reliable vehicle.

It's a typical Toyota: what it lacks in excitement it makes up for in dependability and reliability.

This is our second RAV-4. We bought the first one new in 2004 and traded it after eleven years, only because we were concerned that it might have had the airbags that were being recalled from Japan. That car looked and ran like new after 120,000 miles, and the 2015 is no different; it's only needed routine repairs like tires, oil changes etc.

I love my car!

I love my car. I like the size and I like the Toyota reliability. I moved up in size after years of owning Toyota Corollas, I like the size of the Rav 4. I only buy Toyotas because of their reliability and I love keeping my cars for ten or more years.

My Rav4 is a wonderful vehicle to drive

The Rav4 is a very convenient vehicle. The seats go down easily from so I can bring bike or a walker or lots of camping gear. There is a rack on top of the car. And a hitch on the back for towing 5 bikes or other needed equipment. The drivers seat is adjustable and if someone other than me drives when I drive again my position is saved. I just have to hit a button and it goes back to my measurements. I love driving it.

in love with my car

I was driving a 1989 Camry when my husband insisted I get a new car. It had been in the body shop twice to repair rust and was approaching inspection time again with a new rust out. That year was known to have that issue on the passenger rear. I checked out SUV's because companies have made the cars less' square' and I found it hard to see the front end and rear which is important for parking! He has a 2010 Corolla and I can only see the dash and the back seat if I drive it. I'm 5'2". This Rav is awesome. You sit up higher and can see the front fender and there is no extra tire on the back end as in the past so the back up view is not obstructed. Yes.. it has a back up camera but on a sunny day.. you can not always view the screen in the car. I also like the big side mirrors when I'm driving on the highway. I can easily see traffic on both sides with them. I've looked at the new Rav's but was not pleased that they moved the informational screen up higher on the dash. It blocked my view of the right fender.

Not satisfied at all

Bought a 2015 Toyota Rav brand new. First car I ever bought on my own after my divorce. But right away the drivers seat got stuck and had to take it to the dealer to be fixed. This problem still exists but had to learn to fix it because it over $1000 for a new seat which I was not informed about by Toyota until after the warranty. I really should have taken this as a sign and returned the vehicle then. This car is so loud I literally get a headache when I drive it. I thought there was a hole in the muffler or something but toyota says it’s fine. The navigation/radio died. Of course toyota will look into it for a nice chunk of change. I’ve learned to drive without music even though listening to music on my long drive to and from work was my favourite thing to do. Now the roof is leaking water from both the driver and passenger sides (front and back). Dealer confirmed the drains are not clogged. They are recommending to seal the sunroof at a hefty price of course. If that doesn’t work I will need to replace the sunroof which per the dealer, will cost over $5,500. At this point I’m better off throwing this car away and buying a new one…not toyota. I’m so disappointed in Toyota and their junk of a car. There is absolutely no reason why your car which costs thousands of dollars leaks water. This is definitely a flaw on their part but they are very quick to pin it on you. Thanks for nothing toyota.

Good gas milage and longevity

I have had this vehicle since 2015 and drove it to multiple states. And still running smoothly, low maintenance and goof mpg. It's a quiet ride and nothing major to replace but normal expected wear for bearings and break pads.

good gas mileage

good gas mileage, low maintenance, will last long just take proper care of it with low cost maintenance. It's a relatively a quiet ride. Has good space in the back and for a 5'6 person it has good legroom.

I just like the car. Good looking

I don't much to write. I bought the car 7 years ago and I don't regret buying it. I like it style. The only thing that I don't really like about the car is it doesn't have enough interior space. That's all.

Very reliable. Would definitely buy another one my only complaint is that the trunk lift is very heavy. It will definitely have an authentic lift. There is plenty of room for travel bags and groceries

Best vehicle I have ever owned! Very dependable. I wish it was more sporty looking. Handles excellent in the winter. Excellent on fuel/mileage. 2015 RAV 4 is one of the best years voted “safety “, which is very reassuring! I would highly recommend a RAV4!!!

Disappointed in the little things

Little things bug me. Can't clean the back window when you fill up because of the overhang of the top of the window and the wiper doesn't lift up enough to get under it. There is no place for a purse, garbage can, box of tissues. No cubbie for change. Can't ignore phone calls because it answers before you hear it ring The trim on the top comes off every time I go through the car wash. The back hatch doesn't work right despite the promise to fix it at purchase The radio drops the signal every 30 seconds or so. Then will be fine for a hour, then will shut off again. Head rest not placed for shorter people.( I'm 5"4) It has a lot of road noise. My 2003 Highlander got much better gas mileage. I wish I wouldn't have traded it in. I feel like got screwed pretty bad. I will not buy from this dealership again. It's the same high pressure bull crap that gives car dealership the bad reputation they have. I am embarrassed that I even went there because I am smarter then that.

This has been a very good car for me!

Compared to other makes I’ve had, this is a very dependable one. I will probably stay with Toyota for the rest of my life. From the ceramic brake cylinders to the standard-size tires and more, this has been the least stressful and least expensive to maintain manufacturer that I have dealt with. I had a Corolla (that was totaled but kept me safe) and I decided that I could invest a bit more (a major decision for me) in the SUV since that is my preferred model. Between the savings on not needing to constantly grind or replace metal brake cylinders, less expensive tires, to the lower gas consumption over other makes, this has been a very pleasing vehicle to own.

I've had many Toyotas, including two RAV4s, and I wouldn't buy any other brand. Every Toyota I've ever owned, beginning with a 1976 Celica, has been great value for the money and I highly recommend them.

RAV 4 is RELIABLE

One of the MOST reliable vehicles I have owned. Also the safety features are fantastic. Enjoy all the built-in comforts, will be happy when they add seat "coolers" as it gets very hot in the southern part of the U.S.A.

Not impressed

It is most likely the newer way vehicles, in general-all makes, are made. Many blind spots. Call me old fashioned but I grew up checking my mirrors/window views and driving trucks, for a manufacturer to think one is to rely only on a camera is a bizarre concept. Many blind spots in the windshield area. I miss my 2005 camry

Good small suv.

Great little car. Fun to drive and good on gas. Traveling on the freeway is quiet and comfortable considering it’s small engine. Awd works fine in the snow, too. The only major headache is the sun roof which leaks inside the car whenever the roof drains get plugged up. No mention of cleaning roof drain in manuals.

good reliable workhorse

I have the car since 2015. Put on 110K miles. Drove in torrential rain, deep snow, icy roads. Often the trips were 7 to 9hous duration. The car handled all conditions very well, never gave up, never caused a problem. Nothing fancy, but reasonably good an comfortable ride, good predictable handling, very peppy in the Sport mode. I practically live in the car. The interior is spacious and comfortable with a lot of pockets, shelves, etc. Very good and easy to load cargo space.
