Warranty issue
I recently took my 2012 Veracruz in for some warranty repairs, including an iterior molding strip, a weather stripping piece, a disfuntional passenger door handle, and a piece of exterior molding that had fallen off. All was repaired or ordered with the exception of the exterior molding piece. The service department claimed that the warranty company wouldn't honor the warranty because I could not produce the missing piece, therefore not being able to prove I hadn't damaged it. I called the warranty company, and they said that is determined by the service department. It's evident that the nothing around the area where the molding fits is damaged. Every repair done was on the passenger side of the vehicle, which seems as if that side of the car had poor quality control before it left the factory. As a loyal Hyundai owner (this is my 3rd, and both I convinced both my mother and son to buy Hyundais ), I am not pleased that I have to drive around in a car that looks like I don't take care of it, not to mention I have to pay to have it fixed, when it wasn't our fault the piece fell off.
Other than this issue, I am pleased with the service center.

I am sorry the piece that is missing from your vehicle is not warrant-able due to the fact that Hyundai Manufacture will need to inspect the damaged and or broken components. When you come in to replace the special ordered parts for your vehicle, we will submit a claim to Hyundai Manufacture for possible good will assistance. We do understand your frustration and will do what we can to assist.

Quick Turn around for general maint
I usually take my car to Eckert Hyundai on my lunch hour for general maintenance and annual inspection, they have me in and out with plenty of time to return to work. The cashier is always quick and friendly.

I am extremely sorry that your air bag light came back on. Please bring it in so we can look at your vehicle. I am unaware as to what the concern is currently. If it is the same part, it is  under warranty and you would incur no additional charges. We want your vehicle running and operating properly. We will diagnosis the concern for free. I really am sorry if you think we would mislead you on your repairs, I can assure that is not our goal. If your repairs could be done under warranty, we certainly will do that.

I apologize if there was a misunderstanding sir, it shows, you brought the vehicle in for a problem with the seat and we replaced a switch. That is the only thing listed on the repair.
On your previous visit you had declined for us to diagnose your back up camera, is that what you are referring to? Please call when you are able, i am unaware of anything else that was needed.

Overbooked service turns into long waiting times
Eckert Hyundai service is being really good so far and personal is very friendly.
Anyhow in my last service I was waiting one and a half hour for a simple oil change and tires rotation.
Feedback to the service manager: Don’t overbook more than what your personnel can handle.

  I do apologize your part did not come painted, we have serviced your cars for several years. My staff has always treated you right i believe. Hyundai does not paint body panels as they will no longer match the vehicles painted 10 years ago. We respect you sir and your opinion, please understand we dont want you to have to return for something either.
