I have owned several Hyundai vehicles: Elantra, Sonata, Tucson. All have been very good. This Tucson is the best I have owned. It has surpassed my expections in every catagory.

The windshield is too thin. I have had multiple rock chips and a crack on the windshield I also own a Honda. I have had NO rock chips on the Honda and have had the vehicle for 240,000 miles.

Water leaking into signal lights causing malfunct

After learning that the signal lights that need to be routinely changed because of water leakage and malfunction are not an easy job or inexpensive i traded my 2024 in. Both rear signal light housings had to be replaced within a year. Luckily the first time they were replaced under warranty. During the time waiting for the new housing to be ordered I drove without a right signal light. A couple months after the right housing was replaced the left side went bad. Multiple trips to the dealer later they replaced the left side. Oh by the way to replace these they need to remove the rear bumper each time and the replacement housings are very expensive and so is the labor. Within in 6 months both housings were filling with water again. I’ve had enough and traded the car in.. Totally unacceptable.

This is my fourth Tucson. I love thus suv. It handles great, gets good gas mileage and is the perfect size. I told a coworker about my car and he purchased a used 2023 and is very happy with it.

Just ok; very high engine reving concerns me when I need power driving

Transmission downshifts too many gears and hits maximum RPMs feeling like you lost control of the engine. You cannot "floor it" (gas pedal) or risk this uncontrolled downshift! I asked Hyundai Agency and they say it is not a bad transmission (they know the concern we have).

It is okay but design issues suck.

The major problem I have with my vehicle is the fact that there are design flaws that are stupid. For example, the toe hitch that has an issue that had to be taken off. Because Hyundai has not bothered to come up with a workaround, so I bought a vehicle to tow things, and now I can't. Next behind the bumper, is a sensor so that if anything road hazard wides flies up off the road, it hits this area. And then it causes your cooling vent fan to stay open or closed period and lastly, there was a recall because the designers couldn't figure out that they put the horn in upside down.
