2026 Tucson SEL

I've only had the car for 3 months, so I can't make a full review of reliability in such a short period of time. I can say that I haven't had anything major happen in those 3 months. The quality and comfort seem good. There are some items I've noticed that I am a little disappointed with having to do with rear passenger leg room, the instrument cluster display, windshield wiper extension, and driver footrest. 1. An option to have the instrument cluster display in a classic analog display would be really nice. The digital display is Ok, but a classic analog display would be better. The digital display looks kind of cheap, and I think the analog display would give the cluster a classier look. An option to purchase an update to have an analog option would be really nice, and I would purchase that. It would just be a software update at the dealership, and I think a lot of people would purchase that. 2. There is no driver footrest for your left foot, it's just carpet. Over time that is going to show wear in that spot. A simple black rubberized piece in that location seems like a no-brainer. I've purchased a pad that is sold as a knee rest for automobiles and have stuck it in that spot where the footrest would be. It looks decent and gets the job done, but an actual rubberized piece would be way better. 3. The wiper blades cannot be fulling extended. If you want to clean your windshield you have to hold the blade up away from the windshield in order to fully clean that side, and then do the same with the other side. If they were able to be fully extended it would be a less clumsy procedure. 4. The rear seat leg room isn't terrible, but for a tall person it's a bit cramped. The passenger seat doesn't have to be set all that far back before the rear leg room is pretty bad. This seems like a bigger design issue. The ability to have the rear seats move back 2 or 3 inches would help. 5. There's a bit more wind noise than I was hoping for. Not sure what the solution there is. 6. Lastly, the backup camera shows things getting closer and will audibly warn if a car is going past, but it doesn't audibly warn if you're about ready to hit something. I've been in other cars where it will beep and then beep faster as you get closer to something. I rated Performance a 7, but that's a known item for the Tucson. It doesn't claim to be any sort of rocket ship. I rated Reliability a 7 because I've only had the car for 3 months so I can't really make a valid judgment on this one. As I have the car longer, I'll be able to make better ratings in the different categories. Other than those items, it has been a very nice car.

Hasty decisions based on cost aren't worth it

Might be a temporary cost effective product for a lease, but definitely wish I hadn't bought it. I was looking to replace my Santa fe but they had up sized it too much. Was considering switching to Subaru but was swayed by the 0 percent financing. Regretting my decision

Not fond of the way it takes over !

It has features that allow the car to drive for you.. it doesn't know if you're avoiding a pothole or something else and pulls the vehicle to center it in lane.. also the dinging can be annoying..

Dissapointed

You used to offer free service for the terms of a lease. You got rid of that and also some of the features like wireless phone charging. Just like VW you are starting to nickle and dime your customers - hate it. I have leased 5 Hyundais and this may be my last.

Safety controls

I like the vehicle. It's my 2nd Tucson. I upgraded from an SE to an SEL. I like the power seats and the power trunk feature. I do not not like a number of the safety features. Cruise Control stops when I no where near the vehicle in front of me. I constantly get reminders to take a break after only being on the road a short period of t time. The approaching vehicle warning in front of me is ridiculous with the automatic breaking and shaking episodes. This occurs when the vehicle is not even close to me. Hyundai has taken the fun out of driving the SUV. There are times when I'm not allowed to use the Bluetooth when driving even though I can use other instrumention features on the dashboard. It doesn't make sense.

Too much reliance on the internet and my phone!

I've only had my 2026 Tuscon for a couple of months, but twice already the controls have been disabled because of a needed and failed update, or internet not available, or somesuch. The update has failed multiple times and I think I know why now, because the parking brake is not engaged. I live in Central Florida. The terrain is FLAT here and I have never had a need to engage a parking brake. I don't have the confidence that all features will work when I get into my new car.

The 2026 Hyundai Tucson

The Hyundai Tucson is a replacement for my 2016 Tucson. This is the limited-edition package. The auto-sensing wipers are great; the heated steering wheel will be nice on those cold winter mornings. the seating is ample and comfortable. There are enough cameras to satisfy anybody and safety is stressed. On the whole, the car is a great value.
