This vehicle is the best I have ever owned out of a string of more than twenty. (I am not a brand loyal person) I buy the transportation I think is best at the time. After over 100,000 miles, the only troublesome item is a broken seat adjustment panel on the driver's side of the seat. Everything else is good as when I bought it, or better.

This Jeep does what I bought it for.
It has good towing and off road capabilities. It has had mechanical problems some most off which have been repaired by Jeep under special warranties or recalls. Some, none covered, out of warranty problems such as a thermostat failure have been repaired at my expense. Overall I am well pleased with the vehicle.

I've recently found out after having bought this vehicle a year and a half ago that Jeep does not stand by their products. This is a safety issue when your vehicle shuts off completely when driving due to defective alternators. After looking at the blogs there are many people having the same issues. Beware. The only good side is that I took it to Deb's Automotive Engineering and they fixed the problem by rebuilding the alternator with new parts and installing a new PCM module. It wasn't cheap but it would have been even more expensive at the dealership.

Engine is not great
I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee 2012 and unfortunately, i cannot give a good review on it. Going up hills is a struggle. The engine is struggling when comes to changing gears. I am now using the manual stick to change gears. I also have issues with the ETC -electronic throttle control. Sometimes the engine doesn’t start. So overall, I am not very happy with it. My next vehicle will definitely be something else.

Bad choice
We’ve only owned our Jeep for 2 months and have starting issues. Come to find out it’s a big problem with all Chrysler products in this year range. I understand Chrysler is working on a recall but in the mean time we’re stuck with a expensive vehicle we can’t trust
