A Lack of Corporate Responsibly for the Cars They Sell

Terrible roof paint peeling defect from the factory. Toyota refused to pay for total repainting. It was a recall issue that Toyota refused to acknowledge. There was substantial proof from numerous 2009 RAV4 owners. The Toyota Service Motto is a “huge corporate lie”.

Rav 4

I love my little Rav 4, comfortable enough to feel like a car but it pulls my pop-up tent trailer like a dream.

2009 Rav4 V6 Limited

This has been an extremely reliable car (of course it is a Toyota). The V6 really gives it a lot of performance and allows for light towing (3,500 lbs.). The road noise is acceptable, handling very good, and appointments very good. I don't love the Toyota Navigation. For a small SUV in its price range, I feel it is a very good value.

is relatively trouble free

I like everything about it except the small gas tank. It doesn't have a good range.

Reliable but only getting larger in size

Toyota has recently dropped in ratings as far as maintenance & reliability, but still one of the top 3. I've owned Rav4s since my first in 2002, which was what I would consider a "small SUV." However, each subsequent generation gets larger and larger, to where I will not buy a Rav4 when it's time for a new car. So aside from an increase in recalls (which is happening across the board, with an increase in "computer" systems in cars) my only complaint is that Rav4s are no longer a small/compact SUV, and Toyota does not offer anything smaller in the SUV category.

Even tho we bought this car used, the previous owner had it serviced by Parker Toyota and it is in impeccable condition. Well worth the money. Looks great, rides fairly smooth. Love the hidden cubby in the very back.

Been a good vehicle

I have over 160,000 miles on this car so far and have not had any major problems. I keep up with the required maintenance. It has been very reliable and I hope to keep it a lot longer. It is paid for so I want it to run as long as possible.

Great little Rav4

Used mostly for around town but just finished a vacation trip and my one issue with this car is road noise. By providing this vehicle with good routine maintenance and using synthetic oil, my goal is to keep her around a very long time.

100K and going strong with a few design issues

Have had this 2009 RAV4 Limited AWD since new. Been extremely reliable. Only significant maintenance costs have been brakes. Needed all new calipers (4) at 100K miles. Expensive repair. But otherwise just normal wear and tear and oil changes. Only a few design issue complaints. Windshield wipers float (reduce pressure) above 60 MPH making them less effective on freeways. Another issue is that the windshield wiper blades can accumulate thick ice driving in winter hard snowing conditions. Windshield wiper defrosters would have been a good option. The most disconcerting issue is when the anti-lock brakes keep you from stopping. Seriously brake pedal does nothing except chatter from anti-lock brake system pulsating. Only happens in very rare conditions, deep slush with snow packed road. Happened twice and we go skiing a lot. Very scary to step on pedal and car doesn't brake at all. Other cars around us are stopping and we aren't. It also happened on a Highlander we had.

This has been a very reliable car. Comfortable, slightly noisy. The fit and finish is very good. After 11 years, the paint looks like new. The interior has held up very well. The layout is very convenient and accessible.

Great car

Not the best gas mileage, but I have the V6. A little more road noise than i like. That being said, it is unbelievably reliable, cost-effective, and dependable. I have spent no extra money in maintaining this car.

Love my Rav4

I really like my Rav4. I like the size of the vehicle. It is not real big but will seat five people comfortably. I like the way it handles when you drive it. I like the storage space in the back as well as the door that opens instead of lifting. It just fits me.

I love my Toyota Rav4

My Rav4 has been my most favorite vehicle I have ever owned. It has proven to be extremely reliable with absolutely no -- zero - - maintenance issues whatsoever. I love how it drives. It has plenty of pick-up when I need to merge onto the highway, which is what I was initially a little concerned about, since my previous vehicle was a 4Runner. The Rav4 is considerably smaller than the 4Runner and a lot easier to park and maneuver. I absolutely love it!!!

Have owned over 15 vechiles and this is my favorite in style and comfort for long trips. The color gold is a great symbol of abundance for my business as a Feng Shui practitioner.

My 2009 Toyota RAV4 is everything I wanted and needed and more.

I love my new RAV4. It has plenty of pep. Very comfortable. Very economic in a beautiful package. Lots of room for hauling. Holds the road great excellent fuel mileage.

Excellent Vehicle

My RVV4 has been a great vehicle for me. It is a V-6 and has a lot of power going up the hills and very smooth all around highways and city driving, It is very comfortable and very dependable. It also gets excellent gas milage. You can say I love my RAV4. I also love those features, everything automatic.

my priceless gem

the best car ever! just right, not too small and not too big. great on gas & always room for that unexpected shopping & need to transport items home. this car gives a secure, solid, safe feeling when driving & very secure in inclement weather! It's the best car I've ever owned.
