Advanced Systems do not work and Hyundai cannot fix them - Forward Collision Warning/Automatic Emergency Braking system

Simply put the Forward Collision Warning/Automatic Emergency Braking system and the rear warning system on the car does not work. The dealership said the advanced systems are very complex and hard to work on. The also said there is no way to troubleshoot them.

Sounds Great, But it’s Not

Walk out with something new, and you’ll just keep paying to fix everything wrong with it. No matter what service contract you added to it. Good luck and just consider yourself warned. Wish I would’ve stuck with what I had before this purchase. Buyers remorse is real!

Rust on a new car

There is rust on the car. The service person said it was a manufacturer issue from a paint bubble and was not from something hitting the vehicle. Hyundai has declined to fix the rust. I bought it brand new less than a year ago.

Doesn’t work

Car has so many issues to write in here. Power steering not working. Loss of power steering, lane departure warning system failure, smart cruise control failure. Car still in shop. Have no idea when it will be ready.

Engine issues

I bought this car brand new from Hyundai of Murfreesboro and have less than 50K miles and have had to take it to the shop several times for engine problems. Engine light comes on while driving and car starts dragging, even while on the interstate when driving at interstate speed. Very disappointed in this car. Totally defeats the reason for buying a new car. Despite taking it in for repair the light will come back on and start to drag after a time and I have to take it back again so it's not being fixed correctly. This causes me problems getting to work and my kid to school and I'm never provided a loaner. Very sad to have these issues with a car I purchased new 2 years ago. Because of this I can't recommend hyundai to anyone. -Briona

Engine using oil at low mileage , Cruise control shifting is terrible.

What else can I say, the most important part of a vehicle is the engine and drive train durability. The Tucson engine started using oil at 45,000 miles and continues to do so. And from what I am told at the dealer before any work can be done on the engine the vehicle has to use more than a quart of oil every 1,000 miles before the warranty expires, which cause me to believe that Hyundai wants to put off correcting the problem long enough for the warranty to expire and then the owner has a piece of junk shortly thereafter. I have to conclude the 100,000 mile warranty is a scam. The cruise control is the worst I have ever experienced. It regularly down shifts to 5,000 rpm or more on medium road grades or with moderate head winds.

Why buy a TUCSON

Patterson hyundai in Tyler texas has an excellent sales team. Service team seems uncaring and can be rude. Seems that they do not really understand what my issue was with the NAV system. Ultimately one person made the decision to not submit nav system failure for warranty considerations.

2021 Tucson Review

Save your money. Cabin noise is deathly loud. Mileage averages substandard. May be great for a family but the Kona excels over the Tucson in so many ways. It just did not satisfy in so many aspects that I would never consider a Tucson again in the near future. Not convinced that a Hyundai is in the future, either, due to the break-ins and rates of losses nationwide.

I had a bad experience with my car since the recall repair. For a new car and first owner; this has been very dissatisfying and make me question the durability of Hyundai vehicles. I will not recommend this vehicle to anyone based on my experience.

Neither the Asheville NC dealership nor Hyundai Finance provide decent customer service. They do not resolve issues in a timely manner nor do they provide on compensation when they fail. Buyer BEWARE!!

This vehicle does not drive well.

This vehicle jerks when I back up. I have to press on the gas kind of hard for it to accelerate. It just does not drive like a brand new car. This is a 2021, and it drives like a 2011. The seats are light, and it has minimal features.

Needs total redo for controls and electronics. Poor design and on dash and controls. Too confusing to use half the controls and options. Driving today should be simply with all the new technologies, instead they have made so difficult and confusing. not more confusing.

Nice size SUV rides and handles well on road. Good pick up when needed. Comfortable ride. Interior nice except for dash is bad and poorly designed. Does not have a CD player. Hate having to hook up phone to run programs. All controls and electronic systems are terrible, Symbols are very confusing and hard to understand. They are too small so you need a magnifier to see. Not happy with this vehicle.

The worst Hyundai Model Yet

Horrible MPG, Horrible Acceleration, dangerous to try and enter a freeway. Dangerous trying to pass another vehicle on the freeway. Nice looking vehicle, yes.. but I would recommend looking at another vehicle or Manufacturer.

2021 Tuscan not very useful

My new Tuscan has only 617 miles on it and I was told to park it and not drive it because of a ABS recall and it could caught on fire !! Im paying on a car I can't drive and can't park in my garage. No idea when the recall item will be repaired. ? ?

Pay the same for less

Upon purchasing my new 2021 Tuscon, the sales manager offered an undercoating add on, but was unable to provide an information on it (chemical make up such as oil, water, or asphalt), or brand information. Sales people were very pushy on the add on accessories to the point it became annoying. 3 weeks later after I received the undercoating information I paid the $700 for it only for it to be returned to me with overspray covering every single wheel which is another issue I have to deal with. Overall the Tuscon seems nice and well built, but I’ll never buy from this dealer again which is unfortunate since it’s the only Hyundai dealer around.

Not my favorite

This is a very bumpy noisy ride. The driver seat is very narrow and the door handle on the interior is plastic and has a split on the inside of the handle that’s uncomfortable to pull. Very difficult to back up straight with this vehicle. The back up lines don’t help.

Perfect vehicle murdered by awful gas mileage

The Hyundai Tucson is the perfect vehicle, but perfection ends with awful gas mileage for a vehicle this size. I will be getting rid of it as fast as I can. The engineers got everything right but this one thing, and it's a big thing. If you've got the extra money to fill this thing up regularly, you'll enjoy it. If you've looking for fuel efficiency, pass on the Tucson.

Problem with car never resolved

Not 100% satisfied with my Hyundai Tuscon, at 3,000 miles I was having trouble when backing up, car would shutter, took to dealer and they replaced the transmission, WHY? because my problem was never resolved. Had a case with corporate and they refused a repurchase. I was sold a lemon! Still having issues. Problems never resolved. Wish I could get another car.

Had a lot of issues for a one year car.. transmission shifts were not smooth, MIL electrical and didn't like the manual lift gate. Traded in for a Sonata which I got totally ripped off on price and trade-in
