Good quality medium-sized SUV
I've been driving the 2025 Tucson for a year after upgrading from my 2016 Tucson. I wasn't originally intending to buy this vehicle, but I loved the matte gray finish and technology features offered on the Limited model. Going with Hyundai is always a safe bet because of their great warranty, so I don't expect to worry about unplanned maintenance while I own the car. Most of my driving is just my commute, but I like a car that's got room to carry people around and haul stuff when I need to. It's an SUV, not a sports car, so I wouldn't really describe it as "fun" to drive, but it is comfortable inside, so long drives are pleasant.
As mentioned earlier, what I really love are the safety and technology features. The surround-view monitor makes backing into spaces and parallel parking easy. The parking sensors and collision avoidance system have already paid off by helping avoid an unexpected bump. The head-up display on the windshield is cool and convenient - everything I need from the dashboard in one convenient spot. The seat memory is also great - no more fiddling with my settings after someone else is in the driver's seat. I also enjoy the sunroof more than I was expecting.
The downsides are minor and mostly just things that I was used to in my old car. There's no sunglasses holder, which I really liked having. Also, the gas mileage is a bit worse than my old car and the tank to 2gal smaller, so I need more fill-ups. I also really don't like the engine stopping when it's idle. I wish I could turn this feature off, but it always comes back on by default. Finally, when I first got the car, I'd get alerted to software updates, which they needed me to accept, but the accept button would only flash on the screen, so it was really hard to press. That seems fixed now.
Overall, it's a great versatile vehicle.
