One year in review.

After owning this Tuscon for a year we are both pleased and displeased with our purchase. Overall the car has performed quite well and we are pleased with it but there are several little annoying things that if we can't get taken care of will keep us from buying another Hyundai. Fuel mileage has been good but the car has little get up and go. We have trouble with the automatic mirrors having a mind of their own as well as the seats. Cruise control will not work if I have on my sunglasses. Very annoying! The headlights have a dark spot on the driver side on the highway that poses a problem. etc etc.

Dash board blinks black/goes out

My dash board goes blank. Black screen. Diagnostic was done. Mechanic don't know why. There's no recalls. Im finding other drivers have experienced the same. I am fearful driving.

Ugh

Too many so called safety features you cannot turn off. Primarily the take a coffee break that apparently goes off because of my bifocals and has almost caused me to wreck because of the distraction when it activates for no reason.

Overall a GREAT VEHICLE----So Far!

Just a couple of relatively minor issues: Panel select lighting on the tough a/c select panel is way too dim during daylight. I am told it is not fixable by the dealer. Also, at higher speeds (80 mph and above), the lane following is a bit jerky and unsure of staying in the ceneter of the lane. Otherwise, we love the Tucson -- awesome gas mileage, smooth quiet ride, comfortable seating, great storage. We love the special features --like back seats foldable from the cargo area, and many mnaual selection knobs on the console (rather than touch).

Easy Rider

Overall my new Tucson has all the features I need. It is complete with excellent safety features which really help whenever you are parking or leaving an area that is not clear. I will add that there are 2 areas that have dangerous Blind Spots. I am aware of them and am very cautious.
