2006 Camary

Overall a very good car, with a few annoyances. First issue (for me at least) is the obnoxious bell that goes off when the seat belt is not on. We jockey several vehicles (multiple kids driving) around the driveway and the ding, ding, ding drives me nuts. I appreciate it letting me know I do not have the seat belt on but dang, I am not senile yet, I know where I am and what I am doing. I do not need nor want it screaming at me. I just wish it would shut up. All I'm doing is moving it out of the way for another vehicle to get in or out of the driveway. Maybe have a speed threshold before activation? Another real annoyance with the vehicle is the "insta-lock" door locks. Put it in gear and its like your trapped in Fort Knox. I'll just say I do not care for this and leave it at that. Yes i am an old curmudgeon I guess, but these so called "safety" features are pure annoyances. Other than those two things it has been a good car! Hopefully they heard enough from other folks to have fixed these annoyances in new models.

good running car

I bought this car second hand and have kept up all regular maintenance and have kept all the receipts for any and all work I have had done on it. I have owned this care for 7 years now and no major car problems. Hoping to run thas car as long as I can as I will br retiring soon and wish to buy hoping a new car when I do

2006 Toyota Camry review

I have loved it. The only thing I don't like is that the acceleration is jerky. When starting off from a stop, there is no way to make it accelerate smoothly. It jerks forward. Not too bad, but annoying. Otherwise the car has been excellent. Very few costs associated with it. So long as the regular maintenance was carried out, it was very reliable.

Awesome Car

I love my Camry even if it is 12 years old. I have had very minimal work to keep it in good running condition. It drives like a dream on the freeways. If I ever buy another car it will be a Toyota Camry.

WIll this thing last forever?

I’m at 12 years and counting. Basic oil changes and tires have been my only upkeep. I think this could make it another 5 years before I start having larger repairs needed. I am blown away at the value Camrys give.

It is the most reliant and low maintenance car I have ever owned.

It was used when I bought it and had 49,000 miles on it. In the 10 years I have owned it, I've only had to replace the battery once, and get new tires. I take it in every 5,000 miles for oil change, etc.

Toyota Camry

This is an excellent vehicle with a solid record of performance. It is very reliable and I have not had to make very many repairs especially given the number of miles on the car. It is reasonably good looking, simple to operate, very comfortable, smooth ride, good gas mileage, and roomy inside.

I like owning a Toyota Camry. Low maintenance.

I have owned several Toyotas and like the fact that it is a very low maintenance vehicle. It has over 100,000 miles and still rides well. I will invest in another vehicle when my current one is retired.

I love my car.

My 'O6 XLE 6 cyl Camry has 155,000 miles, no body damage, and nice paint still. I've kept up scheduled maintenance and intend to keep it another 150,000. It is far more comfortable than any brand new car I've rented in the past 10 years.

Vehicle rating

I have driven many vehicles over the years. I chose this vehicle to last for many years. Toyota brand is still the best. Could do with fewer electronics in the drivers position but the more I use them the better I like them. I am getting 20 to 22 miles per gallon . Better than expected.
