NORM'S CAMRY

BOUTGHT THE CAR 2 1/2 YEARS AGO FROM FAULKNER IN BENSALEM. I LOVE THE CAR. IT IS AN XLE WITH THE V6 ENGINE. ON THE ROAD I GET ABOUT 28MPG, ABOUT 23 IN MIXED DRIVING AND ABOUT 21 WHEN DRIVEN LOCALLY. FOR SHORT TRIPS. IT IS QUIET, HANDLES WELL, AND HAS A NICE ARRAY OF CREATURE COMFORTS. THE SOUND SYSTEM IS VERY GOOD BUT DOES NOT HAVE A CASETTE PLAYER. MY ONLY COMPLAINT IS THAT IT USES A FOB FOR BOTH ENTRY AND ENGINE STARTING. I CANT KEEP A SPARE KEY IN MY WALLET SINCE THE FOB IS TOO THICK. ALSO, WHEN ENTERING FROM THE DRIVERS SIDE, IT DOES NOT UNLOCK THE PASSENGERS SIDE DOOR. WHEN APPROACHING FROM THE PASSENGERS SIDE, ALL DOORS UNLOCK. IN MY OPINION, BOTH SIDES SHOULD WORK THE SAME WAY.

Love it, great ride, fun to drive, comfortable, great stereo, love the heated seats, no road noise, can't wait to see how it handles in the snow, sure it will do good! I've always wanted a nice Toyota!

Love My Toyota

My Toyota is 7+ years old but it is just as good as it was when new. I intend to keep it as long as it runs because it's "my baby." It doesn't have some features of newer cars like the back up view but I can do without that because I really love my car.

Very good car

This is my 2nd camry, and I really like it. Safe size to drive, huge trunk, comfortable ride. If I was buying a new car, I would definitely be interested in getting another Toyota Camry. The inside is quite spacious.

Well, it ain’t a Lexus!

I had driven my 2005 Lexus ES330 since 2006. But it now had 182,000 miles on it and was starting to cost me big bucks on age related repairs. I had a talk with Darren about my options and he recommended a Toyota Camry, 4 cylinder. I ended up buying a 2012 Camry XLE. It has some nice features, but the ride isn’t as smooth and the noise level takes some getting used to. But my shop assured me that this will cost me much less on maintenance than my beloved Lexus. That’s a big deal for me right now! So I guess that with time I’ll learn to love my Camry. Sigh!

Great car

This Camry has been pretty much problem-free with proper upkeep and maintenance. information screen cannot be seen in sunlight or bright daylight. You would think that by now that would have been remedied? Hybrid does not get the gas mileage expected. Should get 40+. This one gets 26mpg to 35mp. Road noise in the cabin could be quieter best tires do not help.

Lost confidence in Toyota

Bought my 2012 Camry XLE used after searching for reviews on Consumer Reports and carcomplaints.com and thought we had made a good purchase. At just under 150,000 miles the transmission began to shudder when shifting. When we finally took it to a mechanic the odometer had rolled over to 150,333. That's when we discovered there was a Technical Service Bulletin which stated that the initial fix of replacing the torque converter was no longer considered a solution and that the transmission must be rebuilt AND that Toyota would accept no financial liability if the odometer was past 150,000 miles. The transmission mechanics paid out more than the $3900 we paid them in parts and labor that took them more than a month with us bringing it back to them 3 times to finally fix it. My previous high estimation for Toyota no longer exists.

Reliabilty

Camry is a very reliable car. That’s it. Their is nothing fancy about the inside for any models under the newest 2018 Camry they released last year. The outside looks basic as well. Oil changes are expensive as Camry only takes synthetic oil. However you can put regular gas in it. I’ve noticed that the front bumper is not very secure on my 2012 Camry. In fact every model I’ve seen they all have problems with that staying on.

Good reliable car

214,000 miles with minimum service. Says it all. Comfortable. Low maintenance cost. Seating is comfortable with lots of cup holders. I drive 11 hours straight with few stops without any aches or pains. Great car at a good price point.

Classy Camry

I purchased my XLE in 2012 and it I love it as much today as when I drove it off the lot. I love the way it looks and handles. I can't believe I have had it for 7 years already. It still feels new to me. A trustworthy vehicle; this is the 3rd Camry purchase for our family.

Best Car I've Ever Had

This is my third Toyota Camry and at my age it may be my last car. It's getting close to 120,000 miles and that six-cylinder engine still runs smooth and responds with a burst of power when I need it, especially in that insane expressway traffic. It's powerful, comfortable, and has all the amenities we want.

Best auto we have owned!

I searched for a new car for several months prior to this purchase. Reviews, mechanical and technical pamphlets, consumer reports and other reviews that insured that the hybrids were a good buy. This car has performed better than advertised. Gas mileage for example is 38 mpg by Toyota standard. In a recent trip to Florida, we were able to get 53 mpg. Normally, we get between 38 - 47 mpg. The ride is comfortable, there is plenty of headroom, rear passengers have good legroom and the trunk has plenty of storage. We really enjoy our Camry Hybrid XLE!

Best Car!

I love my car. The interior is very nice and well designed. Other than regular maintenance I have not had any issues with my car. I own a 2012 Toyota Camry. It rides really smooth as well which is one of my favorite things about the car.

Car is well taken care of at pete and sons. I would not return to toyota as bn it is very poor service. My toyota appears to ride easy and in comfort. I would recommend this vehicle to anyone. I'm glad I bought it.

Excellent reliable comfortable car after 6.5 yrs

I bought my Camry XLE 2.5L 4 cylinder new in Mar 2012 and have been VERY happy with interior comfort, road manners, and reliability. It's been our workhouse road car around town, for upper midwest family visits, and used for 3 snowbird trips to FL & TX. The XLE would be called a Limited in most styles with leather seats plus ours had the backup camera, fairly new option in 2012 but needed due to arthritis in the neck. It's had two TSB/recalls for AC drain & tranny shifting, only real fails have been a battery in first year then recently a transaxle boot came loose. We plan to "run it into the ground", now at 101k mi and hope to hit 200k although now have new Santa Fe SUV so eventually will do more road trips in that. Great MPGs too. Note I just stumbled on this review site, did a lot of reviews in the first few years but not here.

This has been a excellent vehicle. Good gas mileage. Comfortable ride, even when in the car for over 5 hours. Plenty of quick power when I need it. I would buy another in the future. I haven't had to take in in for anything other than normal service. Except to have the rear bumper replaced (hit by another vehicle).
