Hyundai Corporate very uncaring reps

Although I like the car Overall and dealer - (have a 2013 Hyundai Elantra GLS) - I am NOT happy with the fact that the Splash shield/Under Panel in front end keeps coming down on this model!! I feel that Hyundai knows this is a "known defect" with this model and still have done nothing to compensate for it. I have had ongoing issues with this vehicle with the above - every time I go over a speed bump, a higher curb, or park where there's a concrete parking stump it 'scrapes' , no matter how slow i go or how careful I am - and every 4-6 months I need to either repair or replace this panel under the front end. It has gotten quite pricey and I am not happy about it! This review was about the last visit to dealer Crown - which that issue was under warranty and dealer honored - so I was pleased with that - thus the 5 star review. If I had to give Hyundai Motor Corp a review it would be 1 star! I have reached out to Hyundai corporate for some compensation due to all the money I have spent for this ongoing issue, and they flat out refused! Their customer service rep (Randy Vasquez) is the WORST!! No empathy at all! He sounds like a robot reading a script! Kept saying "sorry, nothing we can do for you!" even after I'd explained this is an ongoing issue with this vehicle and I've spent (and probably will continue to spend if I kept this car!) a lot of money!!! I asked to speak with his supervisor and he said he would "ask' the supervisor. Then called me back pretending he was the supervisor saying the same crap ' "Nothing can be done on this" - and at the end when I asked his name he said his real name again "Randy Vazquez" - sounded very sneaky and sleezy to me! If I were Hyundai I would get rid of that particular rep - he is awful! And train your customer service reps to be more responsive to customer's needs! Due to this, I will not recommend Hyundai to anyone I know any longer (even though i recommended you to my son who bought an Elantra - different model - in 2016) nor will I ever consider purchasing another Hyundai again! Very Poor Customer Service!! Very disappointed in you Hyundai! :-((

1.8L Nu Engine has serious issues

This car was purchased as a dedicated commuter vehicle, and it has excelled at that task until the 1.8L Nu engine failed due to the infamous piston slap issue. I am currently trying to get Hyundai to replace it under extended warranty as they have done with many in Canada. I am hoping Hyundai steps up and does the right thing to try to keep me as a customer. Other than this one issue, the Elantra has been great.

2013 Elantra review

I am pIeased with my Elantra's performance. However, I am not pleased that the front door gaskets wore out so I get a lot of road noise. Never had that happen with previous cars. Aside from that, it is a comfortable, reliable car to drive.

I love my car. The way it looks. The color. The style, the body, and the way it drives.

I have a 2013 Elantra. Every time l wash my car it still looks like and shines just as if it was brand new straight off the dealership lot. Plus I love the way it drives so smooth. The beautiful color.

I love my 2013 Elantra. It rides and runs the same way today as the first day I bought it. I always keep up with myaintenance and always have all my work done by Mike Camlin Hyundai where I bought my car.

Love this one and also our prior one.......

Got a great deal on this car but then, did not want to look at another car. Our first one was one heck of a car and just loved it but had to total it because of it getting in a bad accident, no fault of our own. Would not even consider buying anything else. Did go to another dealership that was closer to our home and they are even better then the prior one....would not go anyplace else to buy another car or for service!

My 2013 elantra still running excellent after 73000 miles with out any issues my wife loves it elantra one of the best compact car on the market for the price. I definitely recommend this car very low cost to maintain with the best warranty?

This has been a wonderful car for our family. It has been very reliable and offered a tech package that really met our needs. 3 of our family members drive it on occasion and we are all extremely happy with it. We will definitely purchase another Hyundai! Thank you!

I love my Hyundai

This is my first Hyundai and definately not my last! Solid car, runs great! Unfortunately, i was an accident with it and my boyfriend was in an accident with his Veloster. Both held up great! Highly recommend recommend!

Yeah, on the 2013 Elantra

Usually, between 80,000-100,000 miles ( currently 87, 000) I change out cars as we are a 1 car family and want to make sure the car is in good order. But it's stylish look and colorful sand, silver and charcoal colored interior (who wants grey or black in a cloudy environment of the Pacific NW) combined with the recent article about a 2013 going 1 million miles makes me think we will hold onto it. Now while I don't have any illusion of going 1 million miles, perhaps with me being consistent as I am with oil changes and maintenance, we can get 200,000

I love hyundai elantras. they are better than sonatas and accents. I have had or owned all 3 types at different times.They are reliable and need minimal service except for regular maintenance most of the time. Rick Case automatically does recalls for me when I came in for service . Sometimes i don't even know there is a recall or problem.

As a person that owned only high end automobiles, for more than a year I researched the Hyundai Elantra. In 2012 I purchased new a 2013 Elantra. The best decision in regards to an automobile purchase. I have over 145,000 miles and have not experienced any major malfunctions, maintenance, etc. My automobile runs efficiently and I absolutely love it! Should I decide to purchase another vehicle I will retain this one due to the reliability and low maintenance. I HIGHLY recommend the Elantra.

What do I think of my Elantra?

I voiced the last time I gave this review that the only thing I don't like about the Elantra that there is no rear window wind shield wiper. The way the rear window is tilted it needs something to clear dirt and dust/bird droppings that rain stirs up. It's hard to see out when this happens. The front window has wipers to do that and it is much easier to see when you can clean the dust, bird droppings and leaves from it.

LOVE my Elantra, my second Hyundai!!! It currently has nearly 176,000 miles and runs like a top. I expect it to keep going for years to come, and THEN I'll buy another Hyundai. Maybe a Kona next! :)

An economy car that feels luxurious

I love my red Elantra. It handles beautifully and feels luxurious, yet I bought it used (from an elderly person who is no longer driving) at a steal of a price. I hope it lasts for 20 years. The only downside is that the rear visibility is not great. Even so, I can parallel park with ease.

Geat Product

My husband convinced me to buy my 2013 Elantra. I wasn't in the market to buy another car at the time. However, I was allowed to test drive it for a day or two. Little did I know my husband actually was buying the car for me. I've had it for 6 years now and it's a great product. I'd buy another Hyundai product for sure.
