Worst Elantra I've Owned By Far

I've been buying or leasing Hyundai vehicles since 2006, all Elantra models aside from 1 Venue, and this is the first top trim (Limited) I've treated myself to. It is by far the worst Hyundai I have ever leased and I regret that I am paying $410 a month for it. The "advanced safety features" disable themselves if there is even a hint of dust on my windshield, which Hyundai America said is 'normal' because 'the camera is sensitive due to government safety standards' except their other models do not do it and no other car brand has the issue and they are ALSO up to government safety standards. The car has been to the dealer for the issue 5 times; the camera was replaced once because there was an error code. I opened a case with Hyundai America and got told the above and that was the final resolution. "drive 10 miles at 19 MPH or more to recalibrate the camera and sensors" was the exact 'fix' I was told, despite it being a known problem (they were not currently working on a real fix). My sunroof makes a grinding noise when it opens, the center console squeaks if someone sits in the passenger seat and puts their arm on it. I could go on and on but overall I am done with Hyundai and counting down the months left in my lease so I can return it and leave the brand for good.

Not happy

I was told when purchasing I would have valet service. After buying the vehicle suddenly for Elantra, no valet service. I have brought all my cars from checkered flag. Three in total. I'm very disheartened by this.

I think mine is broken

I loved my elantra 2019. then went to 2022 sonata. now back to 2025 elantra. biggest annoyance is how slow it gets going, esp frustrating when speeding up to get on highways. also since i got mine, my ac air vents button is all messed up. it never comes out what area it is set to. in the summer, it’s terrible bc it’s so hot and i can’t get my ac to come out towards my face at all. i put it on the upper body button and it comes out the floorboard or the dash *facepalm*. I usually love elantras, but this one kinda sucks.

All LIMITED are not created equal

Overall, we are pleased with the car. some things are frustrating though, we had a hybrid limited prior, and it had ventilated and memory seats. Not sure why a limited gasoline doesn’t have those features. Also, this has been a complaint on our other 2017 and 2022 Hyundai ELANTRA is that the doors and door jams get filthy, our other cars do not get dirty. The gas mileage is great but the 22 model wears the inside of the rear tires out very quickly. We have had it aligned three times by three different places, one of them being a Hyundai dealer. And it is still wearing the inside of the tires out. And the constant take a break message is annoying.
