Too cramped Need for complex maintenance schedule in relatively short duration: dual clutch in automatic transmission recommended expensive service within 60K miles No intake manifold on engine-could present expensive service down the road Engine may be good for couple hundred thousand miles but projected maintenance will need be done by Hyundai at high cost and will need be performed by a trained and dedicated employeee, which can usually be difficult to come across!

The Hyundai Sonata is the best car I’ve ever owned

Perfect size and more room than I expected including trunk space. The Sonata also drives more smooth than any other car I’ve ever owned. I also really like the technology features and options that came with this car.

Very well engineered and comfortable

I really like the way this car is designed and built. It feels very comfortable, solid, and is quite reliable. Also, it has very good gas mileage for the size of the vehicle and has no maintenance issues.

Title

I made the mistake of not test-driving this car before saying "yes" to it (because I was coming out of a '23 and thought that most elements would be the same or better). It is a mistake I will never make again.

After years of sporty cars I was finally ready for something smooth, quiet, and relaxing. The price is right, the build quality is above average, and it rides like a luxury car. The number of safety and convenience features is amazing.

Very quiet vehicle

I looked at some reviews before I purchased this car. Some reviews say that it is sluggish when passing on the interstate. I disagree with that. No it is not a v8 nor a v6 but you dont need to floor the fuel pedal to pass a car. It has some pep to pass very easily.

Everything is good except transmission

Vehicle has been good so far initially except for the transmission. When first driven in the morning at slow speeds the transmission lunges and lurches for a little while till it seems to get warmed up and then its fine. It is so bad that you have to take your foot of the accelerator and then try to reaccelerate. I also had a 2024 Sonata and it did the same thing. Might be my last Hyundai.

THIS IS OUR 3RD SONATA, 2018,2021, 2026, THIS ONE IS A STEP BACKWARDS FROM THE 21. THE 26 SEEMS TO BE A CHEAPER CAR. DOWN ON POWER, DOWN ON ALMOST EVERYTHING. IF I KNEW IT WAS THIS BAD, I WOULD HAVE PASSED ON IT

Personally I think the title is fine why would you want to change it

The — lighting on the console is very weak and difficult to read Especially if there's any sunlight coming in you can't tell if it's on or off especially the air condition and the speeds of the fans other than that I think it's a fine car but the lighting is very susceptible as very poor

Overall a great car

The car is sporty, smooth drive, efficient, looks great and is comfortable. It's not perfect though. The back seat safely system is AWFUL. The alarms drive me crazy. Middle councle buttons stick on hot days. The vinyl used on the doors is easily damaged by dogs. The radar backed cruse control is great but found a bug. Sometimes when you hit the turn signal the radar looses it's lock on the car in front causing the car to surge forward.

Luxury Car Looks at a Budget Price

I have been extremely happy with my 2026 Hyundai Sonata. The Ultimate Red color gets compliments all the time, and I still find myself looking back at it after I park. My previous Honda Accord EX-L had a few more features, but I honestly don’t miss any of them because the Sonata is such a pleasure to drive. The extra legroom has made a huge difference in comfort, especially since I’m tall, and the ride is smooth, quiet, and comfortable. Overall, I feel like I made the right choice and have really enjoyed owning this car.
