I bought this as a commuter car for rotational work on 14/14 schedule 1000 miles round trip. Car averages 40-45 mpg and is perfect for my use

Looked Nice; problems abound

I liked the way the car looked and drove on the initial test drive so I went through with the purchase. Within the first week, the car was leaking oil and was in the shop for a week. After about a month of getting the car back, the car wouldn't start and had no power at all...after purchasing a new battery, I did some research on my own and found that the vehicles systems can continue to draw power even if the vehicle is off.

I've never had a brand new car

I bought a brand new Elantra. Within 4 months I was having a hard time starting it. Service department looked at it and told me it was starting sluggishly cause I was putting bad quality gas in it. So, for 6 weeks I put 93 octane in it with same outcome. I made an appointment with service again. Now the vehicle is 7 months old. It's diagnosed with a bad fuel pump(which obviously was installed bad in a brand new car). 4 days later I get my car back. I hate this car! The seats are miserable uncomfortable! I can't turn off driving safety features. Why?? I live on country roads and I am constantly crossing the lines. I know when to take a break. Also, the car slams on brakes when cars are NOT in danger ofe hitting! I am done with Hyundai.

Upset about Horn

I purchased my car new and recently received a letter regarding a potential issue with the horn. Unfortunately, my horn is not working, and I rely on my car for daily driving. I contacted the dealership, but they informed me that I would need to leave my car for repairs. They also mentioned that they do not provide rental cars, which is problematic since I need my vehicle for work. I believe it’s unfair that I should have to pay for a rental car while mine is being fixed, especially since it was brand new when I bought it and I have only had it for a year. This issue is not due to any actions on my part, and it’s frustrating to be driving without a horn. This situation has made me very upset.

Mixed feelings

I have minor issues with this vehicle that I am unable to have check due to the scheduling system for diagnostics checks. My horn does not, one day it works and next day it doesn’t. My screen got stuck twice and my cigarette lighter stop working I had a dash camera set up in my car i get window message saying that my windows are open when they are I explain to the guy about that one time coming for an check up and he told me it’s because I have tints on my windows and this car isn’t supposed to have tints and I explained that’s not the case because this was happening before I got tints. My tire air pressure light comes on for a different tire every day. I only had my car for a year but I do have an appointment scheduled for Nov to do a diagnostic check. Other than that this car is pretty cool just not happy at the moment dealing with this

Solid Transportation with Style

Nice style, great gas mileage and nice to have the donut tire for emergencies. Trunk area is spacious for storing golf clubs and it’s nice to be able to put the back seats down for additional space. Only drawback is some of the safety warnings are a nuisance and overly redundant. The “take a brake “warning is really overkill. Don’t think it can be turned off. Overall very happy with the car.
