Nice-looking workhorse

This vehicle retains an up-to-date look, even though it's 10 years old. It runs well too, especially with the 6-cylinder engine. Repair-wise, I'm glad I purchased the extended warranty. Not being the original owner, my purchase did not come with the 10 year powertrain warranty, and I've had to do about $2100 in major repairs over the 8 years that I've owned it. But compared to the Cadillac that I owned before this, that's still pretty inexpensive.

My Sonata

Our Sonata is a good dependable car. No frills, does whats expected and has been reliable. We've taken it on long trips with no issues. Gas mileage ok, interior has lasted with very minor wear and exterior still looks good.

I LOVE MY OLD HYUNDAI SONATA FOR IT HAS SERVED ME WELL. IT IS COMFORTABLE TO DRIVE, HAS ENOUGH ROOM, AND I AM PLANNING ON KEEPING IT AS LONG AS I CAN. IF I WERE TO PURCHASE A NEWER CAR I WOULD CHOOSE A SONATA.

Bought Used

The car is pretty good. I've had some issues with suspension making weird noises that seem to keep coming back and having trouble getting up to speed every once in a while (response time), but otherwise its good. Its got a good amount of space for traveling and gas mileage isn't too bad (about 22 avg mpg city) Just wish it had a spot for an aux cord

Stylish. Confortable sedan

Really like my Sonata limited..so I still enjoy this over ten year model and would buy again. Sonata platium limited held up very well to normal wear and tear. Great confortable and quiet interior !

I've been very happy with this car, only problems I've had... I run thru real brakes too often (yes I know how to drive/brake) and I have a reoccurring problem with the engine light that keeping popping on, when there is nothing wrong with the car! No one has found the problem with this to date!

All most perfect

I love my 2007 Sonata but for years I've had problems with the front end. Mainly squeaks that have been costly to find. I would consider buying another Sonata but unfortunately the newer models do not offer a light color cloth interior.

Paint job should warrant a recall

Rides well, but the a/c is a continuing problem. All major parts have been replaced but it still loses all freon after only 5,000 miles. The paint just flakes off. Hyundai has repainted the roof but now the rest of the car is loosing spots of paint as big as a silver dollar. I can't wash it because the paint just FLAKES OFF!

Long term ownership

Bought this vehicle with 3,000 mile on the clock. 13 years and 160,000 miles later, the engine seems going strong, and I’m hoping to get to 200,000. At the time, it was a simpler design than some competitor vehicles, so I was expecting maintenance to be less costly, but that was not the case. Overall, a very spacious vehicle, that required a little more attention to maintain, but had no roadside breakdowns.

More problems than normal.

This car has 71,000 miles. So far the back brakes had to be replaced because of a mechanical defect. Two automatic window panels replaced and now the the air conditioning is out. They told me it would cost $1200 to fix it and frankly I can't afford it.
