Disappoint new car

Electrical problems and no answers from the dealer who sold the car, they don't care any more after they sold the car.bad car, noisy while driving, never going to buy other Hyundai is frustrating thinking you going to have a new car does not having problems for a few years and found problems since day one.

Car is too low to the ground. Excellarate all by itself. The interior cannot be cleaned properly. Especially the lighter interior. Seats cannot be covered with seat covers because the airbags in seat, that is, of course, what I was told. Stops in the middle of traffic. Engine noise.

Disappointed

I have been a Hyundai loyalist for the better part of last 11 years and this is the 4th Hyundai iteration I have owned in those 11 years and by far, this is the worst.it has under delivered on every count except, looks. Other than its outwardly super refined appearance, this 2017 model has nothing new to offer. My earlier 2013 Sonata hybrid was far more refined than this one. Even my 2011 Sonata was better.too much cabin noise, within a year the condensation from my AC started flooding the passenger side & several services later the problem still persists. The Bluetooth had been pain in the neck since the very beginning. Hyundai has seriously let me down.

bad engines

Love the vehicle it is very stylish and looks good but I am really concerned about a engine failure during a family trip or while traveling with grandchildren. Something should have been done with these engines by now.

Not a great car

Car interior is great, backup camera is a good plus, the fm radio is terrible terrible terrible, the 4 cylinder engine just doesnt have enough get up, back seat is too small for 3 kids, engine eats oil like theres no tomorrow, headlights arent very bright and the transmission seems to get stuck when in higher gear

I am not satisfied with my cars performance. It runs like a much older car.My car runs like it is much older

My car runs like it is much older. It ran beautifully the first year. The second year the fuel injectors needed to be cleaned. Unhappy that I had to pay for that, because I bought an extended repair package. After paying 250.00 for them to be cleaned after one month the car is running like they were never cleaned. It is jerking at the start of acceleration. It does that until you get enough gas into it. The only problem is it fills like the car is going to cut off right in traffic when you're trying to accelerate in front of another car. It is very scary. I was told by a car expert that what I describes is a defect in Hyundai 's....I guess they won't be recalled until someone DIES !!!

Problems right away

Car is smart looking and comfortable with great gas mileage, but had problems right away with BSD not functioning and now battery not holding charge if car not used for 3 or 4 days, even though it and electrical system both test as good. No resolution provided by either service or customer service.

Very disappointed with this vehicle-2016 Sonata

Very disappointed with this vehicle. Engine reliability is very questionable due to the high oil consumption (1-2 quarts per 1000-1500 miles). Engine makes rattling noise (intermittent) during acceleration. Steering is not true and consistent while driving. Feels cheap and poorly built. Road noise is excessive on almost any road surface even after replacing all 4 tires, and having undercoating applied to undercarriage for sound deadening. Would not purchase a Hyundai product again, or recommend to a friend.

Car battery

Cannot use a normal car battery. It is a special battery that costs $250.00. Then dealer charges $20.00 to put it in. What a ripoff. Battery was 2.5 years old and car had 39,000 miles. I have never had a battery die before being 5 years old.

You get what you paid for

For a person that is on a tight budget, you cannot beat the monthly cost on a leased Sonata....having said that it comes with A LOT of maintenance and performance issues There were multiple recalls on this vehicle. Be aware before purchasing or leasing.

Sport look but with a little luxury needed

The car has a sporty look but lack its performance and luxury needs. I had tires replaced at 23K due to cupping and warping along with engine issues. As mention, fun to to drive but could use a few quality parts upgrade

MPG not impressive at all, loud road noise

Vehicle allows too much road noise into cabin when driving, on all surfaces in all conditions. The best part of the vehicle is the ability to use Android Auto or Apple CarPlay with my cell phone. Vehicle looks good on exterior, has nice to have features like sunroof and leather, but overall the value is not quite there.

Sonata are no good

Do not get this type of car. Ever since I got it, there has been problems with it catching speed when taking off. It has a hard kick or feels like it is going to stall. When going to the dealership because it is under warranty they keep saying there is nothing wrong.
