Disappointed compared to other Hyundai owned

I had a 2011 Sonata and loved it. When I needed a new car only planned on getting a Hyundai and wanted a smaller SUV. Bought the Santa Fe and have continuously disappointed and underwhelmed. I would 100% never recommend this car and next car my wife or I buy will not be a Hyundai or a Genesis

This vehicle has all the bells and tech whistles available in 2023. The seats are comfortable and the ride is smooth. Sport mode is sporty. Road noise is too loud. Otherwise a solid buy.

Nice riding vehicle with a great turn radius.

The vehicle is comfortable and has all the nice features on it. The 2023 has a nice style to it. We are leasing the vehicle.

Hyundai Santa Fe calligraphy 2023

I love my car. It is a great design inside and out. My lease is up soon. Not so happy you changed the model to a pick up style boxy design. If the same car was available I would lease it again in 2026. I am forced to go to a different make and model. You no longer have what I like

2023 Santa Fe

I drive it mostly on long trips. When I drive it in town, I get frustrated with acceleration after driving a 6-cyl Sonata for many years. The fuel economy is not very different than with Sonata.

It's alright

What is weird is then when I go on a highway that's 55+ mph, the wind against the top makes the car material sound more plastic (as if wind hitting plastic). Also, Hyundai decided to price gate the dashboard reflection to display navigation directions behind a $10000 package upgrade compared to the 2019 we had. That's basically forcing people to have lesser safety because you want to please investors. Overall, the car is fine and good for a family of 4, but I did find issue with these two things.

Some issues

Overall a good car. Didn't have good heat at all after we got it. Finally took it to the dealer and they replaced the thermostat. Then later a check engine light, also fixed by the dealer but not sure what the exact issue was. Seems a bit mich for a car with only 10000 miles on it.
