It seems like updates make things stop working. After the last update now my windows don’t wanna roll down. The update before my trip odometer would stay at the same MPG‘s. Whether I was stopping on the gas to go up hills or coasting I coasted down a mountain highway for 8 miles in Pennsylvania and my MPG went from 27.6 to 27.6. I turned off the stupid backup alarm for five times and it’s still on. I’m sitting in my driveway break to a complete stop as a car drives by me and the car alert alerts me and start shuttering and freaked my wife out. I said no that’s just my cars “safety feature“. And she said that’s terrifying when you’re getting ready to back up and you think you’re about to hit something when you’re not. Also, it’s really annoying when I’m on cruise control and the car 2000 yards ahead of me to decide to make a right hand turn, and my car slams on the brakes. Other than that, I have no problems with the car. It runs fine. I get compliments on the way. It looks. It gives me 4.8 to point B. Radio is good. Heated seats are nice. Being able to charge the phone look at the navigation screen all those things are great. It’s just the safety feature that I wanted to turn off because it’s not a safety feature. It’s a hazard. Also, there’s a slight slip in the transmission and the car doesn’t even have 15,000 miles. Sometimes when I go to accelerate, it will go up to 2800 to 3300 RPMs for no reason I’m not stomping on the gas, barely touching it

Generally happy

Nice ride, good power, comfortable. Bad braking system, poor autotranny down shifting. Amazing amount of brake pad dust. It’s a mess!!

Very nice bang for my buck I will say. For nearly 300 horsepower on a 2024 new car, I’m paying a great price for comfort, power, and style!

2024 Sonata

This is my 4th Sonata. They have all been great cars. There have been changes over the years. Mostly improvements. However, some I don't like. Example, wiper blade replacements require following instructions playing with the wipe controls inside the car to move the blades from the hood hid away. You should go back to older models designs where you didn't have to play with the wiper blade controls inside car to move the blades up onto the windshield. The AM radio worked ok when I first got the car but no longer is working. I think the US government is working to require AM radios are functional again. I hope so. Some AM stations provide important information and sports events. The trunk space on 2024 models is smaller than past models. I need a bigger trunk. I may have to look at some other makes & models with larger trunks. My 2013, 2016 and 2019 model Sonatas all had larger trunk space. I am happy that you once again made power heated drivers seats standard. I think the cast aluminum wheels on all my previous models were much nicer than the 2024 painted steel wheels. The touch screens are a little hard to read in day light and are a little difficult to use. Perhaps a little too sensitive. That is about all I can think of right now. Hope this helps you.

Solid Vehicle

We purchased this vehicle new and have enjoyed every moment. Rides smooth, comfortable, and the safety features are great. Gas mileage when we travel on the highway gets up to 45 MPG. Wonderful for everyday travel as well, MPG drops around 35 in stop and go traffic. Still good. Our only request would be a little more "pick up" power from the engine when passing or getting on the highway. Engine may be a bit small for the size of the car. We still love it.

Pros and Cons!

Pros -Decent on fuel, stylish, roomy interior. Cons- Had it serviced 3 times ,and told the service reps that when alcerterating with any pressure on the pedal at all on the engine it bogs down ,the engine almost stalls, and creates a safety hazard that my wife and I are very concerned about. I was told the first time to put a additive in the gas ,and this should help. It did not. 2nd and 3rd time I was told that there was nothing wrong and that it is just the way this type of vehicle works. They would not pursue the issue any further. Not good not happy.
