Terrible Car

Got a crack in my windshield in the first week. Was told no replacement part available and no time frame for when it will be available.. Just awful. Car auto brakes when not needed. The front display is not user friendly. So many negatives and so few positives. Buy a Honda

Poorly engineered

This vehicle is poorly engineered and extremely over-priced. I have been a loyal Hyundai customer over the years and absolutely disappointed with this step backward by the company. It’s a terrible vehicle

Very disatisfied

Purchased brand new and didn't notice on both sides of front bumper. Where it ends both sides of bumper sticks out. Service dept ordered a new bumper and told me they had to shift the radiator so the bumper sides would stay in the clips They did have to order a new bumper. Had to bring the car back cause they had to order a bumper and paint it. Came back number was not the same shad of red. Either come back another day or take it as is. I took it because I swore I would never go back. 4 days later, the bumper popped out again. I have bought Hyundai vehicles religiously. We are a 3 Hyundai vehicles family. I have under 25,000 miles on my Sonata. I am looking to get rid of my car and by from another car maker. Sorry but this car is not worth the money I am paying and the dealers service department should be overhauled. You sent me this email so I am responding. My friends see the bumper flaw and are in disbelief.

Disgusting! Although the Sonata is a beautiful car, I am always driving it fearfully as I have waited for over one year to receive the 2nd (SECOND) key fob; WHICH I WAS PROMISED @ PURCHASE!!! What is a disabled senior to do if her one and only key is misplaced or lost???

Vehicle had to be lemon lawed a month after I bought it new.

Very upset that my brand new vehicle had major electrical issues a month after I bought it and had to be lemon lawed. The buy back process is also taking incredibly long and the communication from customer service from Hyundai (not the dealership, dealer has been great) thus far has been awful. Overall very frustrating and upsetting customer experience.

Took way too long

I was schedule at 1pm for an oil change on the vehicle I am leasing. I arrived on time and the service tech was very pleasant. I was waiting for the car and he said it would be done in an hour. and said it would take an hour. Well, it took 2 1/2 hours. That is terrible. The tech was apologetic but that is ridiculous to wait that long. Hope the next time isn’t like this.

Worst Sonata I've ever driven.

This is my 5th Sonata and will be my last! Engine has no pickup, the infotainment screen is a disaster and also.shadow of it appears in the windshield when driving in the sun. Many standard features taken away on this year's model. Gas mileage not as good as other models.

Disappointed and this my worst Sonata.

I am so unhappy with this Sonata and this is my fourth one. It shifts very rough, and the dealership says nothing wrong. I'm 71 and know how a car should shift. Next the dash and monitor keeps dimming and they didn't fix it. Also the screen went totally black for a minute or two didn't even address that. Lastly there is a rubber piece that goes on the bottom of grill (the last piece on the front of the car) it keeps coming off because I bumped a car stopper that was higher. The dealership said Hyundai wouldn't fix it because it wasn't defective, but if you just bump that a tears it of and splits the two little holes to me is defective shouldn't come off that easy. Lastly the USB ports don't always work so I can play my USB or portable Cd player. I have the right cords. Again the dealership says they can't do anything about it. Most unhappy with the car and dealership who I've been with about 13 years and third car I have bought from them...

Do not buy

Vehicle shut off on me at night while driving down a road and issue was never resolved with dealership. I have tool marks all over the plastic in the car from the dealership ripping the car apart. Nothing was done to fix this. Do not buy.

The car was a lemon.

The overall is good but it is not very reliable. I drove it 50 miles from the dealership brand new car before the whole digital display went haywire. It is not very dare when airbags and all safety features decide to malfunction in a band new car. Even the speedometer showed 0 mph when i was driving at 60 mph on the freeway.

Dealers create more problems with the car, on top of an already shaky product you basically get a lemon soon after purchase

Service is horrible

I took my car in for service a couple weeks ago after getting a “needs service reminder”. I drove 150 mile round trip. The service department said they corrected the problem and it will reset in a few minutes. It did not. I’ve called and no one will get back to me. I have bought my last Hyundai. I suspect this Hyundais way of voiding a warranty. Hyundai is trash.
