It will get you there

Our vehicle is a basic package Santa Fe. It does have some nice safety features, but it's not a comfortable long-haul travel vehicle. The seats are basic with just enough padding and bolster in them but not enough for a trip longer than 3 hours. The infotainment system that came with the vehicle is extremely basic and tired. Meaning, the technology in the infotainment system is quite old. My wife's previous vehicle was a 2016 Nissan Rouge and while not having Apple CarPlay, the infotainment system in it was far better. Mechanically, it's been ok but I have had lots of issues with the EVAP system and getting codes after fill-ups now and then. The vehicle has been to the dealer several times, and it's still not fixed. The worst issue was a Forward Collision Radar issue that took us TWO MONTHS to get repaired, and it was out of my pocket. The sensor and the structural metal bumper were damaged, but nothing else was damaged, including the front bumper cover. The dealer who finally repaired it even told me that the bumper cover showed absolutely no damage or signs that it had ever been removed. It was determined by the dealer that the vehicle sustained damage possibly in manufacturing but no way to confirm. Hyundai corporate stood by its ruling that it was in an accident at some point but with NO DAMAGES to the bumper cover in any manner. But the structural bumper beneath the cover was twisted and bent. The Forward Collision Sensor appeared to have been damaged as well, and someone tried to make the sensor work anyway.

Overall love my car! Except the braking and high pitch sound inside

Love my Santa Fe but if hit the brakes on uneven road the car pulsates and does not stop I’ve almost hit cars in front of me because of this. And when driving on freeway and gas pedal is pressed to maintain speed there is a high pitch sound that can be heard in the vehicle which makes driving long periods like out of town annoying! I have taken it in and they cannot figure out what it is.

Just a vehicle that is impossible to like. Ride is bad and insurance for this type of vehicle is outrageous

Great car not awesome engine

Overall it’s a great vehicle but I have a lot of complaints about the engine and it being sluggish while shifting from a stop. When I asked about it I was told that that was normal, but I have never driven a four-cylinder that is as hesitant as this one is.

Great SUV with one exception

My 2023 Santa Fe SEL Premium is really nice in every way exception for one thing. The brakes make a scaping sound for awhile every day. It's been checked repeatedly and the mechanics say its just the way it is. I probably won't buy another one after this because of the scraping sound when I apply the brakes every morning.

23 Santa Fe Calligrahy

Overall a great vehicle. Lots of safety features. Seats although leather are NOT as comfortable size wise as the seats in the 2019 Santa Fe. Middle console is a hindrence to reach the tray below and phone charging slot heats the phone but is very difficult to pull the phone out. Headlights on the vehicle are FANTASTIC

Love everything except the media screen

I love everything about this car except the screen on the center console that controls most of the media functions and car settings. My biggest complaint with it is that it is very laggy within the first 2 minutes of the car starting. When I push a button, it won't do the thing I pushed until about 10 seconds after I push it. This happens for every button push for the first 1 to 2 minutes after the car started. The other thing I dislike is that when listening to Radio or Bluetooth audio, the Artist and Title of the song is in really small font all the way to the right of the screen, yet the Station Name and Number is huge in the center of the screen. This is backwards, in my opinion. The artist and title are much more important and should be easily viewable. Everything else I love! The styling, the fit and finish, and the performance (especially in Sport mode with the turbo engine). I was very sad to see the body styling change so dramatically in 2024 and will never buy a Santa Fe with that body style.
