Warranty is fake/a lie

Snake oil salesmen work for Hyundai. They say bumper to bumper warranty and then sell you a car with a defective windshield and don’t fix it when it breaks less than 6 months in when your car is parked out front of your house with no trees above it and no one going near it at all (have it on security camera). Bottom line these people are liars and scammers. Car is good, but I had to pay $900 to fix the defective windshield

Engine and transmission issues; brakes failed in new one

Purchased a 2021 Santa Fe. Within 3 months, engine would not start intermittently and the shifting was extremely hard. Took it to dealer and they "could not figure out how to fix it." So they just kept it. Managed to trade it in for a 2022 Santa Fe. Within 60 days, the brakes on the new Santa Fe failed. Even if you take it to the dealer, the 'warranty services' take 30 days. The dealers do not rush to fix any warranty services. This is my 4th and 5th Hyundai. The service and the quality has completely fallen off. It's truly shocking. DO NOT buy Hyundai. Terrible service, terrible vehicles.

Terrible

The car has never worked properly. Paid for safety features and has been a death trapped. Electoral issues. Car will state unlock when it’s not. Break with no car in front. I do not recommend anyone to buy this car

The transmission stopped working- 2 year old car with only 13000miiles. This has been expedited to National by the dealer yesterday but no response. I am a health care professional right now without a car since yesterday and no one seems to care!

The trAnsmission stooped working yesterday. It is now at the dealer. The dealer submitted a claim to National to get approval to expedite to replace the transmission. Expedite means 3-5 days! How reduculous! I am a health care provider and need a car. If you needed care- are you saying an emergency should take 3-5 days for approval to take care of you!

Engine and Transmission Trouble

When I first leased this brand new car, there were major problems with the engine/transmission. The car would randomly SHUT OFF while driving. The dealer took it back and said they fixed the issue. The car doesn't turn off anymore, but the engine and transmission feels weak when accelerating, and sometimes shakes when hitting bumps at any speed.

Failed transmission, electrical issues also

After 5000 miles, the transmission failed. We had multiple electrical issues and a rattle issue. This is unacceptable. The navigation kept dimming and was unable to manually brighten. The auto wipers stopped working. There is something loose inside center console. I brought in vehicle to dealer multiple times and didn’t get things fixed 100%. I had to have a friend fix.

We got a lemon

Was great to begin with but shortly started having serious transmission and engine issues. Took it for service 6 time with no resolution. Even after the car went into limp mode we were told that we needed to wait for it to happen again, be stranded on the road, call roadside assistance, have it towed, and then they would fix it. They literally handed us a card with the phone number for roadside assistance. Told us Hyundai wouldn’t let them fix it.

Beautiful car, too many problems. Will never buy another Hyundai. Also service department is horrible. Nothing good to say about the service or the dealership. I should have bought the Honda. Would not recommend anyone buying a Hyundai

Bad experience

I have bad experience with Hyundai, not recommended the car Hyundai Santa Fe , too many issues and my car only had 36000 miles, bought on 2021 only two years old and too many problems vibrations all the times

service department is the worst experience I have ever had.

I like the car I bought but I will never own another Hyundai product again. this is because of the service department of their dealerships. when there were recalls, it takes weeks to get into the dealership's service department to get them done.

Insurance company doesn't give Insurance for this vehicle.

I am stuck to buy this vehicle because nobody gave me insurance of my new vehicle since last 1 and half years. Insurance company said from 2013 to 2021 hyundai vehicles they didn't gave insurance because car easily theft on this period vehicles easy to key start. So it's very sad for us and my friends and relatives says it's your big mistake to buy hyundai vehicle.

Great Performance, Terrible Reliability

Love everything about this vehicle. I prefer it over my 2017 RangeRover Sport. Except after only three weeks and 800 miles the transmission failed. It’s been six days at the dealership and all they can say is that a new transmission is on order.

Cute but...

The car looks good, but that's about the only thing going for it. I had a Sonata before, it was agile and it had some sensors that made driving safer. The Sanfa Fe did not come with those sensors, even though I asked for them. Also, the engine is about the same power as the Sonata engine. The Santa Fe is much heavier, so the response of the engine is bad and it can be dangerous if you expect to drive in highways. It won't go when you accelerate. I also think that might contribute to the horrible gas mileage. AUDIO: I put this in caps because this is important and in over 30 years, I've never hear a sound system so horrible. It sounds like a notebook speaker with more volume. No bass response, you can barely distinguish the instruments. Just awful.

Too many problems

I had high hopes for this vehicle. It has a lot of space, looks nice and is comfy. The engine has a lot of power. However, it cannot put the power where it needs to go. I had a trim piece loose from the factory. The engine and transmission stumbles choosing a gear than snaps your neck. The transmission shudders when accelerating at low speeds. You have to fight it constantly to maintain your lane at highway speeds. The adaptive cruise is way too aggressive. No tow hitch available. And this is only after owning it 6 weeks!

Overdesigned

Features turn themselves back on. After the car sits for more than an hour. Constantly re inputting all my settings. Everything for temp control to driver assist. Sometimes I just want to drive the vehicle with alarms going off, why is that so hard.

Poor quality vehicle. Feels like it won't last long.

Please please please buy something else! I have purchase many new vehicles in my time including Ram, dodge, Mazda, gmc, and ford. The value, quality and overall construction of these vehicles is very poor.

Hyundai Santa Fe Problems

Several problems with the car within the first month of purchasing including the interior door panels of both front doors as well as technical issues with the back up camera. I am very disappointed with the problems in the first month of purchasing a brand new car.

Defective touchscreen from day 1

Touchscreen has been defective and unusable from day 1. The dealership won’t fix it and won’t return my calls. The seats have changed with the new 2021 model. I find them to be significantly more uncomfortable than the 2019 year

Don’t feel like car is very reliable. Gas mileage terrible

Gas mileage not good at all!!!! So many people having issues with brand new cars shutting off going to highway. No spare tire. To replace with the type of tire on it is very expensive. No storage areas in front seat.
