over all nice but lack engine performance

just very disappointment in engine performance cabin noise styling was nice back camera nice view interior good the ride was better then i expected would like a warning for when you get close something in front overall decent vehicle

Nice ride - workout the kinks

I like the vehicle but don't love it. Can be overwhelming at times to maneauver. I am a gadget person but some of those included are too much and often inconsistent when they are operating. The vehicle rides well and looks classy. Love the AC/heated seats. Sleek console and reclining back seats.

Experience has been up and down

We love our vehicle but the engine surges and hesitates quite often. The issue is that nobody can seem to find the issue or a way to repair said issue. The wireless charging area for a phone barely charges and just makes your phone get hot

Heating problems

Three months into winter the heat just came on the check engine light stays in dispute the fact they claim it was just a update thing and they fixed it and 2 weeks later it’s on again but I don’t have time to keep go back to the dealership and there are no courtesy cars so you just ass out

good but not worth the extra money

My choice was down to this or a nissan rogue, the santa fe had more comfortable seating. The Blue tooth issues and the inability to use a usb to connect to the console has caused a lot of frustration. I don't like that their is no gear shift and instead has the buttons. I've put it into neutral multiple times while making three point turns due to not wanting to take my eyes off the road and pushing the wrong button.

not happy

Not happy with Hyundai's response to our problem with it not starting with the welcome feature on, only remedy was to turn it off. Very tired of the transmission knocking when coming to a stop, The transmission lunges when starting the car and coming to complete stops intermittently.

Good gas mileage

This car has several good qualities. The seats are comfortable. Heated seats. Good gas mileage. Auto locking gas tank. Roomy. There is enough head room as well as leg room. The back holds enough items and has storage underneath. It looks stylish.

it was great until certain things started to mess up on the car

it was great until certain things started to mess up on the car. I do say the car is great but as a brand new 2021 I feel like should of not have issues so quickly before that cat I had Scion Xa 2006. That I never had issues only reason why I bought a new car was cause my car was totaled but as soon as I got the Santa Fe the thermostat had to replaced and then after its first oil change within the first week my car wouldn't start up and would take about 5-10 min to start back up turns put it had a loose terminal after that was fixed then one the plastic side piece from my window flew off while I was driving had to take it back again to the dealership.

Not great

Happy when we picked it up,buy..... rain sensor failed the first time it rained took 2 visits to repair, started to leak oil at about 5000 miles and has taken multiple visits to find the leak and replace the oil pan only to have it leaking again. Tire noise remains after tire change and wheel bearing replacement.

Slow acceleration

Thought it would have more pick up than it does. My 2017 Hyundai Accent has quicker acceleration compared to this one. The appearance is nice. The road noise on the inside while riding in back seats are a bit louder than imagined.

Some features of vehicle are unknown even to sales staff so were not explained such as passenger seat issues. Also vehicle defaulting settings after they are set or turned off are very inconvenient at the least.

I do not like the driver assistance features. They are distracting and dangerous.

Overall appearance is nice. Fuel efficiency should be better. The console is too high. There is wasted space with the ledge above the glove compartment. It's too small to store anything. Same thing with the open space below the console. The console should be lower as it gets in the way reaching to the other side of the vehicle.

Poor customer service, vehicle has had 3 issues in less than 1 year

Good looking vehicle, starts and runs good most of the time. The interior and exterior has very good design. It should have come with a spare tire and jack, but they were trying to save money and have the vehicle have better MPG by losing the weight. I would have had the additional cost over missing an uncle's funeral for a flat tire.

Chose something else I should’ve went to other car company first maybe I wouldn’t have never brought here some one told me from corporate that they were going to pay me for not being able to drive my car and let me no when it got out the shop and they never returned my calls she lied and I don’t like a liar ?

Beautiful but lack bells and whistles

I had more issues and concerns than I expected with a brand new vehicle. It doesn't have an automatic trunk. Most vehicles you can push a button fton the inside or on the key phob to open but you have to get out to open.

Engine issues from the start

Car broke down and engine had to be completely replaced within 6 weeks of getting it. It’s been nothing but trouble for a whole year. It’s a nice car on the inside, very spacious, seems great overall but the engine issues have just been so terrible that it overshadows everything good about the car.

Car is great...Service department is horrible

If you need anything done to your car, you have to physically go into the dealer. No one will EVER call you back, text you back or email you back. You have to be in front of them for them to help you. And don't let them tell you they ordered a part for your car...they either didn't actually order it, or they just don't call you back to schedule the replacement. They had my car for over a week. Said they ordered a part to fix it...and 6 months later I am STILL trying to get someone to respond to me so I can bring my car back in for replacement. I guess I'm gonna have to drive up there like I did 6 months ago. That is the only way to get their attention.

Beware of quality issues and good luck getting any issues addressed.

The cons of this vehicle are the most important. I have the 2.5T Calligraphy. The DCT transmission is problematic. It shutters, lurches, slams into reverse and feels like you are being hit from behind when you're coming to a stop. Had a check engine light come on and vehicle went into limp mode while driving to work (couldn't go above 30ish mph suddenly). Called 4 dealers to get it diagnosed and 2 said they can't even do anything other than maintenance requests, and the other two said the diagnostics would be at least 3 to 6 months out, which I could not even schedule. Mind you, this was when the vehicle had less than 13k miles on it. Do yourself a favor and buy a Toyota. They probably won't have the "wow" factor, but they will give you the peace of mind that I so desperately wish I had.

Good vehicle when it’s working

Shortly after purchase, our fuel injectors had to be replaced. Later we were affected by a transmission and power train recall. The transmission is on backorder. We still do not have the car repaired.
