Good car with some issues

The Santa Fe is a well designed car but I encountered issues with the transmission. Also handling was a little loose with too much play in steering wheel. I no longer own the car, I now drive a 2026 Palisade

Good Vehicle for size wise, passenger comfortableness is 3/5, my battery keeps dying for a brand-new car. There is some hesitation when you are going from stop to go.

Disappointment grows

Replaced tires due to road damage at 3,500 miles. Not covered by warranty. Dealer said tires are designed bad and they would have replaced them when buying. Road noise is terrible. Sound like doors are closed. Had driver side fixed, better but still bad all around. Tired of getting ⚠️ when weather impacts driver assist features. Never again and this was my third Hyundai

The updates make functions not work!!!

The update back in December stopped my navigation from taking requests for directions, however the map still showed my location. It would give be the message something like no connection move to an area with better reception. Had to take it to the dealer who did a total reset which then made me have to go and make all my personal settings again. A week ago had a nail in my tire so took it to the dealer and as I arrived I got the message on my car screen there is an update available. I didn't do the update but the dealer did and said it was a security update. Four days later I was driving the care and the system would not play any audio, no radio, no phone call, no directions etc!!. I even pulled off the side of the road the shut the car off and on twice to see if that would do anything and it DID NOTHING!! I then spent half an hour in my driveway looking at the settings and found nothing wrong. I had to make 6 calls to the dealer before I was able to get to someone who could help and the service person was kind enough to say to bring it in if I could get there soon as it was already 3:30pm. I went back to the car started if and drove 100 feet and all of a sudden the radio started playing sound again, I made a phone call and there was sound and I then asked for a direction and that worked?!!?? The last two updates have broken things not fixed anything!!

Great vehicle

I do love my vehicle, but it is far from perfect. The controls for heat, air, etc. are on a touch screen, which is hard to do while your eyes are on the road. Buttons you can feel are far superior. CarPlay and Sirius XM do not work smoothly together through the system, although that could be an issue with those apps, not the car. Also, the door lock chirp is far too quiet and there is no way to increase the volume. The Hyundai app is for iPhone is terrible, too. 360° visibility is excellent, so is handling. Driver assist works great, too. Good on gas mileage and very good acceleration.
