Completely Dissatisfied

My brand new car has repeatedly broken down over the 1 1/2 years that I have owned it. I have needed to have it towed into the dealership to be repaired at least 3 times. I have used both the Fort Myers, FL and the Naples, FL dealerships for repairs. Neither of these have been helpful or empathetic to the inconveniences that this has caused. After each of the first two break-downs, I was denied a loaner car. After the last break-down in December 2025, I was given a loaner after they first denied one and claimed they needed several days to determine if the break-down warranted one. They (Naples dealership) even suggested that perhaps my car wouldn't start because rats had gotten into it, even though there was absolutely no evidence of that. After several days, they did give me a loaner and my car was not repaired for several weeks. In addition to these break-downs, I have needed to bring my car into the dealership for numerous recalls. I am beyond disappointed with this car.

Overall Fit and Finish

I like the size of the vehicle. I like the size of the cargo area opening. The vehicle rides nice. It does not feel solid, feels light on the road. The vehicle is comfortable except for access to the front seat belt buckle. It is crammed between the seat and center console. The infotainment software is very disappointing. It is not user friendly. There is no compass on the instrument panel. You have to be in the vehicle with the engine off for software updates. That’s really inconvenient and stupid!

Hyundai Santa Fe delivers

My Santa Fe has performed well and is providing exceptional value. I'm impressed with the power that the 4 cylinder engine generates and also the gas mileage it delivers, averaging about 25 miles to the gallon on regular gas.

Too many recalls, rattles, and aggravation.

There have been nothing but recalls, poor maintenance at the dealership, annoying rattling, and weird log in experience that takes too long to get moving.

Computer issues

I love the car, it drives well it’s comfortable and roomy. I have had it in to have computer repairs done on it 6 times now. I believe it is fixed now…we will see. I think it’s crazy to have to pay 12.99 a month to be able to lock your car from your phone.

Since the day I purchased this vehicle I have have had several issues. Some are still present. I have been buying Hyundai's since 2006 and never have I been this disappointed.

It's excellent, but some basic things were missing.

I miss the automatic locking feature when the car is on and I leave with the key. A spare tire of the same size; for the price, it should have a spare tire of the same size.

Best Kept Secret !

My wife and I were parring down to a single travel vehicle moving from a wagon and large luxury SUV. We drove many makes / models of small to large vehicles by various manufacturers and levels with those manufacturers. On a whim, we stopped at the local Hyundai / Genesis dealer to initially look at a high end vehicle. Once driven, we decided to look at the Santa Fe as a good size compromise. We ended up with with a Calligraphy Black Ink edition with the Nappa leather and green interior, absolutely a great looking vehicle. Driving dynamics and features are phenomenal, packed with convenience and safety features. Will say the Bose sound system is better than our older large luxury SUV's system, something that was a must for me (equal or better). Ride and handling are also top notch with convenient lane keeping, auto lane change on interstates and very informative heads up display. We continue to be surprised by the vehicle. We like it so much, we recommended to 2 other couples and they both ended up buying similar Santa Fe's. Hyundai has surprised us so much, we're considering a second EV Hyundai for local use.

Hyundai 2024 Santa Fe Caligraphy

Safety features work fine , other computer functions no so well , thumbprint doesn't work , iPhone connection to car does not always work well , seat adjustment always has to be reset

Ok

Too many recalls, hate car turns off unless you push button every time you get in car. Have to dig keys out bc key fob does not work even though the service says it does. Car lags to go at lights etc. rear seat belts do not work well with booster seats. Have to hook them every time even for 5-6 years old. Just not convenient to get out of car to get children in booster seats!!
