Nice car but needs some improvements.

8-speed transmission has big problems. Dont expect to accelerate to merge, transmission has a hard time finding a gear. Instrument controls (especially the paddle shifter) are badly placed. Controls below the media center are vague and cant be easily found in the owners manual. Drivers side seat recline lever is badly placed; seat reclines when exiting or entering vehicle. Default setting for lane following on the cruise control should be "off" . Touchpad is not sensitive to touch if fingerprints are evident.

I’ve been unhappy with a sensor issue. I’ve had on that car concerning the transmission. I’ve gone back several times about that. I got a sensor issue on my car one night see that it was check my motor oil. I was having problem with the motor. I didn’t drive it the whole weekend cause I was afraid that something was wrong so they got some issues with that census on that car, but I’m not happy with. Overall, I love the car but when you’re running 75 and your sensor jump on, check your transmission and the car slows all the way down in the middle of traffic to 40 you got to pull it over to the side and cut the car off in order to be able to pull it back off. You might go another day and it’ll come back on again. I’m not happy with that.

Fun to Drive

Great vehicle so far, but gas mileage not as good as I would expect. I understand that I could have bought the hybrid model, which I would have done, but the dealership didn't have it in the color I wanted.

Not happy

We have had so many issues. From recalls on it that were never completed when we purchased. To now it says “battery discharge due to external electrical devices”. But dealer can’t find anything wrong. The fans will continuously blow when car turned off (40 mins) but dealer says it’s normal. Now the headlight has water in it.. should’ve kept my Kia Sorento.

First Time Hyundai Buyer

After driving my Hyundai for two years, i came to the conclusion that I made a good decision with my choice of SUVs. I have become somewhat concerned about the total number of Recalls? I also had some questions about my choice with an unfortunate communication issue with the Dealership. By the way, my daughter's Hyundai Santa Fe was a bench mark for my final decision.

Love my car, but hate the soy based products used to build the engine

Car runs great until a chipmunk eats your soy covered wires. NOT COOL!!! Cost me 500 to Sauder the wiring back together and cover with new tape. I find out after I take the car in that this is common and quite expensive to repair. Cheap fix to put a sonic sound maker in car, no one told me. I'm surprised there is no class action suit for this matter.

Battery drain

Battery goes dead overnight occasionally. Dealership said they could not find anything wrong. After researching, this is an ongoing problem that no one can solve. I know what is draining the battery but no one seems to want to listen

Good vehicle so far.

Quiet and comfortable ride. Very nice interior. Transmission shifts a little funny. At slow speeds it seems to have trouble deciding on the correct gear. Touch panel is hard to use while driving, takes too much attention from the road. The "Take a coffee break" warning is down right annoying. Get rid of it! Since I only have 21,000 on it, the verdict is still out. When I get over 50,000 I will decide whether to keep it or not.

2024 1st year of the remodeled Santa Fe

Very nice vehicle.... comfortable, roomy, great hauling capability, and very good gas mileage. Recalls have been numerous, and replacement parts for the recalls are VERY scarce.

Not Worth the Price

Too many recalls. It drives way too noisy on the highway. Both front tires blew out within two months of each other for no reason after driving this vehicle brand new for only 18 months.
