I feel very unsafe in this vehicle

Hyundai has known that this transmission has issues and you can press on the accelerator and the car will rev up while driving and may not engage. This can be a dangerous situation, but I was on the freeway recently. I’ve been driving for at least 10 minutes and without touching anything the engine started revving up so high. I didn’t know if the engine was gonna break and I’m on the freeway going 70 and I have no control over the speed other than the break. They keep changing the software and never getting it right and they don’t stand behind their product I will never buy this brand again

Loved the 2024 initially, but not now

My vehicle was making a noise in the rear passenger wheel well during turn from the first week I got the car. I brought it back several times to be told they didn’t hear anything or find anything. It still makes this noise mostly during right turns to this day almost three years later. The car also had some electrical issues it needed to go in for.

Love it but some issues

Great vehicle all around. Looks great inside and out, great technology package and features. A lot of space for a family. Had trouble a couple times where the engine sputtered on start up also the cooling driver seat function is broken.

Sorry I made the purchase. No more Hyundais for me.

Engine, Transmission and electronics. I have a fear of this vehicle letting me down every day I drive it. The engine knocks - on occasion - when first starting. After starting and running a bit, it goes away. But, given the history and reputation of Hyundai-Kia engines, hopefully you can imagine the fear of this vehicle leaving one stranded. I have had the entire dashboard go off / blank while driving at 65 mph. Knowing that the dealers will all say, "could not duplicate customers concern at this time...", I took a video and showed it happening at least twice in a continuous . contiguous video. Got a nail in a tire. Dealer advised 4 new tires. Old tires were wearing not very well but.... Four new Pirelli tires (exact same brand and model tires that were on my Santa Fe Calligraphy as built new), and have had vibrations ever since. Dealer tried 'road force' balancing that gave an ever so slight improvement. I currently own or operate a 2023, 2024 and 2026 Calligraphy Sante Fes. Yes, three of them. I have also facilitated my sister and daughter into Santa Fes. The 2023 is currently in the shop for the second time. The transmission does not always engage. Also, the engine will sometimes race on its' own. The engine light was on for the first visit. I did not take a video of picture for proof. The dealer called and said that the engine light was not on and that there were no codes in history. I picked the car up and within 75 miles, it re-occurred. This time I took video as it happened and pictures of the all dashboard messages. So as the 2023 is in the shop for the second time, for a serious reliability issue that could be catastrophic when transmission fails to engage or the engine suddenly surges but does not engage, I sit and worry about all the issues affecting Hyundais. Obviously the engine issues. Years and years of failures. My 2023 transmission unresolved issue; My 2024 with dashboards that go blank and lunging forward at times when first started, the Pirelli tires that vibrate/thump on both the 2024 and 2026, I have lost all faith in the brand.

Overall a good vehicle but garbage transmission.

Our Sante Fe is a comfortable vehicle but is significantly detracted by a troublesome transmission. The transmission shudders in-between shifts in multiple gears, two of the shifts are rubbery. When asked the dealership, I was told 'that is what a DCT should feel like. That is false, I have a vehicle with a DCT transmission and it does not feel like that. In addition I've rented Hyundai's with a DCT and it feels perfectly normal. If you give this vehicle a reliable transmission, it would be truly great.

Almost killed my wife

Safety featured failed during a medical event and vehicle sped up from 35 to nearly 60mph with no braking application causing a multi vehicle event.

2024' Hyundai Santa Fe Calligraphy Review

Overall Experience and Impressions of my Hyundai Santa Fe have been very good for the most part. The Vehicle is well-rounded inside and out with a generous warranty package for peace of mind. I chose to purchase the vehicle in early 2025' because it fit my need for an SUV that provided practicality as well as seating capacity. My trim choice provided the Luxury elements that I was also seeking in a SUV without the mainstream badge. The Santa Fe offered me this with a smooth ride quality, good sound system, Interior fit/finish and great Technology/Safety features. However, no vehicle is perfect and I have experienced some glitches with the instrumentation panel, steering column as well as having to address some recalls. In addition, the vehicle frame tends to rattle with Road/Wind noise intrusive at Highway Speeds and/or going over larger bumps in the road. Nonetheless, the Dealership was excellent in addressing any issue/concerns that I had with the vehicle exercising my warranty when necessary as well as completing the needed services regarding the recalls.

Shifter

Not that crazy about where the shifter is to put the car in drive and reverse it needs to be relocated also it needs to go from reverse to drive a little faster. The computer system is a little sluggish.
